Akshaj: Good morning Mam/ Sir. We welcome you to our
project. My name is Akshaj Nitin Bajaj and I am here with my
cliques Yash, Yuvraj and Shourya. We are here to present you
this model on Renewable Energy based Solar City. This city is
the model of the future cities and we will think it become
inspiration for the upcoming smart cities in India. The
concept of making this model is to:
1. Understand how a hydroelectric dam works
2. How can we make energy from Solar
3. Working of windmill and how electricity can be
produced from wind mill
4. How can we make electricity from Speed Breakers
5. And lastly how should we produce electricity from
Vertical Wind Turbines
6. Uses of this energy in a Solar City
7. How can India be interdepended and Developed
Yuvraj: First, we will see about the hydroelectric dam. The
hydroelectric dam is an obstacle for the water. This dam turns
the direction of the water in a motor which has turbines. The
motor moves round and round and generates electricity. This
electricity is then stored in batteries. The dam also maintains
the flow of water in the river or lake.
Now we will move to the Solar. As you can see here, we have
made a solar plant and it is providing the electricity to all the
[Link] energy is a renewable energy source that comes
from the sun. It can be used to generate electricity, heat
water, and warm buildings. How it works
Solar energy is radiation from the sun that is converted
into electricity using solar panels.
Now lets move toward the Windmill. A windmill is a machine
that uses wind to generate power. Windmills are also known
as wind turbines. Now we have placed over here a Windmill.
You can see it has a fan and a dc motor. This fan rotates when
air moves its turbines and by this the magnetic force inside
the motor is generated which results in forming electricity.
The windmills can be formed on land or sea. Windmills can
use vertical or horizontal propellors. The electricity generated
from this windmill can be stored in batteries.
Yash: Now we will move to Speed Breakers. To generate
electricity from a speed breaker, the kinetic energy of vehicles
passing over it is captured using a mechanical system,"rack
and pinion" mechanism, which converts the vertical
movement of the vehicle into rotational energy that can then
be used to power a generator, producing electricity ;
essentially, the speed breaker acts as a power generation unit
by using the wasted energy from vehicles slowing down on
the breaker.
Now we will see Wind turbine. To generate electricity from a
vertical wind turbine, the wind generated from vehicles
moving forces the blades to rotate around a vertical shaft,
which is connected to a generator that converts the
mechanical energy from the rotation into electrical
power; essentially, the wind pushes the blades, causing them
to spin, which then turns the generator to produce
electricity. This can be also used on Highways. This way a lot
of electricity will be generated and saved.
Shourya: Now we will understand how we have showed a
solar city could be. If you see carefully we have made speed
breakers, vertical wind turbines, Windmills and solar power
station. The solar is also present on roof tops. These all
houses are generating there own electricity which we can
help to support us in energy conservation. You can also notice
that there is greenery in the city. So, to tell that Greenary and
Animal conservation is also seen as a part in this project. You
will also see Street lights which could run on the vertical wind
turbines and the speed breakers. There are also electric cars
all around runnimg on electricity. So, I and we all definitely
believe that the future cities of India could be just like this
model.
Akshaj: We will now see that how our country India will be
interdepended on itself. You all know that we use petrol or disel
in our cars. So from what is this petrol and disel made? From
Crude oil, right then where this crude oil come from? It comes
from UAE, Saudi Arabia and other western countries. So our
government needs to pay a lot of money to these countries every
year. This is the reason why our Indian Rupee is in a loss. So to
make this interdependence on more further, then we need to
find a alternative to crude oil. So, the answer to this is Renewable
energy. So, I request you to all to use electric vehicles and use
renewable energy and save our Indian Rupee. As the truth is
always there that Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can
only be changed from one form to another. Thank U
