Bobby George Sentencing Statement
Bobby George Sentencing Statement
November 3, 2025
The allegations made against me 14 months ago were proven false when my lawyers showed the special prosecutor
hundreds of pages of evidence showing my innocence, which led to the dismissal of nearly every charge. Today, this
politically motivated prosecution ends. But my relentless pursuit of justice against those who weaponized the legal
system against me is just beginning.
The allegations made against me 14 months ago were false. The fact that this case went from the initial list of
charges to the lowest charge says everything you need to know about those charges and the people behind them.
These charges were brought by partisan and ideologically motivated people, including a known political enemy of
mine, the far-left City Prosecutor. These charges were brought without any investigation done on me. To this day,
I’ve never been interviewed by law enforcement about this case.
My lawyers showed the special prosecutor hundreds of pages of evidence—text messages, videos, photos, and
more—that established I’m not guilty of the allegations originally thrown at me. After that, the special prosecutor
agreed to drop all charges except one—the lowest charge. Even after today, the media will continue to ignore that I
was falsely accused of all of those heinous crimes without an investigation.
Had I tried to knock down all the lies at trial, there was just too much risk, given the media’s unfair treatment of
me—convicting me in the press without waiting for any evidence—coupled with the wild overcharges brought by
the initial prosecutor. I am a fighter at heart, and I wanted to keep fighting this injustice. But after careful
consideration and counsel, I chose to think of the effect that another year of this would have on my family, friends,
and the over 2,000 employees that I lead.
My lawyers told me that, under Ohio law, pleading to an attempt is not admitting to a crime but rather
acknowledging taking a single step toward a crime. Under the law, that’s technically an attempt. When presented
with the option to wait another year for a trial and risk my freedom or take a deal that has no effect on my life or
freedom, I asked my team what they would do if it were their son. They all agreed that the risk was not worth the
reward and recommended I take the deal. That’s why I pled guilty to this one minor charge.
President Trump was targeted by his political enemies who had prosecutorial power, and so was I. He was
vindicated, and I will be, too.
Today, this politically motivated prosecution ends. But my relentless pursuit of justice against the people who
unjustly weaponized the legal system against me is just beginning.
