Q1) What is multimedia?


Ans – Multimedia is any digital content that combines different forms such as
text, images, sound, video and more. You can create content as well.

Q2) What are multimedia platforms?


Ans – Multimedia platforms are the spaces that you can use to make, share or
view multimedia content.

Q3) What are some examples of multimedia platforms?


Ans –
 Widgets to add audio, video and social media to web pages
 Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
 Offline applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint, that allow you to make
presentations.
Q4) What should you consider when choosing a multimedia platform?
Ans –
 Who is your audience and what is your content? – To reach a wide
audience, an online platform is considerably better. You should choose
platforms that that provide private sites that only trusted friends and
family can see.

 How well will your content work on the platform? - If your producing
long forms of content, then blogging websites are good.

 What is the cost and availability of the platform? – A lot of platforms


provide free service, although customization and storage might be limited.

Q5) What are posts and pages?


Ans – Posts are separate items you add on a scrolling page, while pages are
separate pages for items that you want to say visible.

Ans – A hosting service is a platform where you can host many types of media

Ans –
 Proofing functions such as dictionary and thesaurus
 A word count function to check you have kept to any word limit.
 Tracking functions, such as track changes and commenting tools.

Q2) What to do when editing as a team?


Ans –
 Track changes – This can help you make suggestions to anything that
needs to be changed to a document. Changes are shown as a ‘mark-up’,
so that you can see what the reviewer is suggesting.

 Comments – This can help you share ideas about the document.

 Find and replace – Can help you make global changes to words and
phrases.

Q3) How to proof your text?


Ans – Before you submit your text, you should proof it. You need to check the
spelling and formatting of the final version of the text.

Q4) How to upload your project? With a post, or a page?


Ans –
 Use a post if the text is a news time. It will appear at the top of the site’s
page. Any new posts published later will appear above it.
 Use a page if the text is an item you want to keep separate from a main
page. E.g. if it contains background information like an ‘About us’ or
‘Contact us’ page.

Q5) How to add images to your text?


Ans – You can add images to your text by uploading them to the media library of
your online platform.

Ans –
 Intro: Explain who you are and what the show is about.
 Jingle (or sting): A short piece of music to help people recognize and
remember your podcast
 Topic Segments – Use one or more segments to cover the subject you
have chosen. They can have different types of content such as an
interview or solo presentation
 Closing remarks – Thank the audience
