Sales Visualization Matplotlib Project

The project aims to visualize monthly sales performance using Matplotlib through various charts including line charts, bar graphs, pie charts, and scatter plots. A sample dataset illustrates sales data for three products over twelve months, highlighting trends and comparisons. Key findings indicate that Product A has the highest sales, consistent growth across all products, and a positive correlation between Product A and B sales.

Sales Data Visualization using Matplotlib

Objective:
The objective of this project is to visualize monthly sales performance using Matplotlib. The project
includes multiple visualizations such as line charts, bar graphs, pie charts, and scatter plots to
analyze sales trends, compare products, and derive insights.

Sample Dataset:
Month Product_A Product_B Product_C
Jan 12000 8000 6000
Feb 15000 9500 7000
Mar 17000 11000 8500
Apr 13000 9000 6500
May 16000 11500 9000
Jun 18000 12500 10000
Jul 20000 14000 11500
Aug 21000 15000 12000
Sep 19500 14500 10500
Oct 22000 16000 12500
Nov 23000 17000 13500
Dec 25000 19000 15000

Steps and Implementation:

1. Import libraries: matplotlib.pyplot and numpy.
2. Prepare dataset with monthly sales of three products.
3. Create line chart to show sales trends over time.
4. Create bar chart to compare sales of all products per month.
5. Create pie chart to display yearly total sales share.
6. Use scatter plot to show relation between Product A and B.
7. Add titles, legends, and axis labels for better clarity.

Code Snippet Example:

import matplotlib.pyplot as plt import numpy as np months =
["Jan","Feb","Mar","Apr","May","Jun","Jul","Aug","Sep","Oct","Nov","Dec"] product_A =
[12000,15000,17000,13000,16000,18000,20000,21000,19500,22000,23000,25000] product_B =
[8000,9500,11000,9000,11500,12500,14000,15000,14500,16000,17000,19000] product_C =
[6000,7000,8500,6500,9000,10000,11500,12000,10500,12500,13500,15000] plt.plot(months,
product_A, marker='o', label='Product A') plt.plot(months, product_B, marker='s', label='Product B')
plt.plot(months, product_C, marker='^', label='Product C') plt.title("Monthly Sales Trend")
plt.xlabel("Months") plt.ylabel("Sales Amount (■)") plt.legend() plt.grid(True) plt.show()
Conclusion:
1. Product A has the highest sales throughout the year.
2. All products show consistent growth, especially in the last quarter.
3. Product A dominates the yearly sales share as shown in the pie chart.
4. There is a positive correlation between Product A and Product B sales.
5. Matplotlib provides an excellent way to visually understand business data trends.
