environment space. Prolonged exposure to
high density situation elicits certain
behaviours, such as aggression, stress and
hostility. This behaviour can stop a person
from building an effective interpersonal
relationship.
e) Increased physical distance: the means by
which various culture use space to
communicate. If this distance is more than
required, sometimes it can cause hindrance in
interpersonal relationship.
f) Lack of time: time plays an important role in
relationships. Every relationship needs time
and an individual’s effort to grow. Frustration
arises when people do not have time to meet
or interact with each other.

a) Cultural diversity: Culture plays an Ppt. And discussion

norms, ideas and customs provide the basis
for our way of thinking. Similarly, an
organization’s culture influences the general
nature of the employee relationships. There
are some organizations whose culture
discourages making intimate relationship by
keeping distance from each other while some
organization cultures encourage having
family like closeness to share one’s feelings
with each other regardless of work, for
emotional balance which can increase work
output.
b) Ethnic diversity: People with ethnic
diversity have different values, attitudes and
beliefs that can influence the development of
interpersonal relationship.
c) Social diversity: People from high status
often convey their power with gestures. Eg.
Less eye contact, higher pitch voice, frequent
use of hand on hips and more distance when
communicating with the individuals are
considered gestures od being from a lower
social status in some societies.
d) Language diversity: Different language are
use in different regions of the world.
Language plays a significant role in
interpersonal relationship.
3. METHODS TO OVERCOME BARRIERS OF

must have a sound self-concept and positive self-
esteem.
A mutual sense of respect must be ensured by the
people involved in a personal and professional
relationship.
Fear of rejection must be eliminated between the
individuals involved in a personal and professional
relationship.

familiar to the individual and each individual
should make the other feel important.
During interaction in adverse environment
situations or between individuals of diverse
territories and high densities, special care
must be taken.

Cultural diversity can be overcome by trying Ppt. And discussion
to enhance the four primary factors that blackboard
decide the interaction pattern such as
openness, trust, owing and risk to
experiment.
In social diversity between the people
involved in a relationship individuals should
try to understand their social variations and
make sincere effort to adapt to the variations.
Individuals must enhance interpersonal
communication skills such as maintaining a
good eye contact, appropriate body language
and listening with patience.
CONCLUSION:
Interpersonal relationship skills are highly essential to be incorporated in each and every individual of our society
so as to make life easy, successful and step towards our growth and transformation into a good human being.
