PNS CP-0855, CP-0877 PVDF

INDUSTRIAL WATER FILTRATION

FEATURES
l PVDF based hollow fiber membrane have long life due to their high mechanical
strength and chemical resistance.
l 0.03 µm nominal pore diameter for removal of bacteria, viruses, and particulate
including colloids to protect downstream processes such as RO
l Hydrophilic PVDF fibers for easy cleaning and wettability that help maintain long
term performance Outside In flow configuration for high tolerance to feed solids
that help reduce the need for pretreatment processes.
l The larger, 200 mm / 8” diameter of module offers the highest effective membrane
area of the PNS PVDF UF modules, which contributes to a more economical
membrane system design.
PNS PVDF UF can be used for a wide variety of water and waste water treatment
application such as surface, sea water, industrial and secondary effluent waste water.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
To ensure the proper start-up of a UF (Ultra filtration) system and to prevent membrane damage, it's crucial to
follow a specific sequence of steps. Here's a general guideline for starting up a UF system:

l Membrane Pretreatment Before starting the system, ensure that the membranes have been properly pretested
according to the manufacturer's recommendations. This might involve cleaning or conditioning the membranes to
remove any contaminants or deposits.
l Membrane Module Installation Make sure that the membrane modules are correctly installed in the system
according to the manufacturer's instructions. This includes ensuring proper alignment and sealing to prevent leaks.
l Instrument Calibration Calibrate all instruments and sensors in the system to ensure accurate monitoring and
control of operating parameters such as pressure, flow rate, and temperature.
l System Checks Conduct thorough checks of the entire system, including pumps, valves, piping, and
instrumentation, to ensure everything is functioning correctly and there are no leaks or malfunctions.
l Refer to the Product Technical Manual Consult the product technical manual provided by the manufacturer for
specific instructions and recommendations regarding system start-up procedures. This manual will contain
detailed information tailored to the particular UF system being used.
Once these preparatory steps have been completed, you can proceed with the start-up sequence outlined in the product
technical manual. This sequence will typically involve gradually introducing feed water into the system, adjusting
operating parameters as necessary, and monitoring system performance to ensure that it meets design specifications.
