1. FILEZILLA
FileZilla is a Total approved software and should be available through your IT department.

In case it is not available, you can download it at :

Ask your IT department to install it.

2. CREATE A SITE ACCESS


To create a site access, we have two different cases, depending on your site’s
infrastructure:

A direct connection

A connection passing through a proxy server

Ask your IT department what kind of outside connection is available.

If you have to pass through a proxy server, you will need to know the name of this proxy
server. Ask your IT department.

Make sure, FileZilla is installed correctly and you know how to start it

2.1. DIRECT FTP SITE ACCESS

Start FileZilla

In FileZilla, open the “Site Manager”:

In the text box enter a name : ex “EXP Training Project”

In the box,

enter the name of our FTP server: serv162.epxtnet.com

Make sure the Servertype is set to FTP:

As Logontype, select “Normal”:

In the User box , enter your user name (*)

In the Password box , enter your password (*)

Click on

2.2. FTP SITE ACCESS THROUGH A PROXY SERVER

Start FileZilla

In FileZilla, open the “Site Manager”:

In the text box enter a name : ex “EXP Training Project”

In the box,

enter the name of our your proxy server : ask your IT department for the name of the
proxy server.

Make sure the Servertype is set to FTP:

As Logontype, select “Normal”:

In the User box ,

3. CONNECTING TO OUR FTP SITE


To connect to the FTP site, use:

Once connected, you will have your own files on the left side of the FileZila screen and the
files on the FTP site at the right side:

On the FTP site, you will see the following directory structure:

In , you will find our operator training manuals and PowerPoint


presentation, together with an Excel file, in which you will find the latest updates of our
site.

In , there will be a folder, corresponding to your affiliate. You can use this folder
to transfer information between us. Nobody else has access to your folder.
If you upload files for us in this folder, please inform us be e-mail about the upload.

4. NAVIGATING THROUGH THE FTP SITE


The left site of the FileZilla screen (Your own files) works exactly the same way as the
Windows Explorer

Navigating in the right side of the screen (FTP side) differs a little bit.

If you want to open a folder (got to a lower level in the folder structure), double click on that
folder

If you want to go up in the folder structure, double click on , which will bring
you 1 level up.

5. TRANSFERRING FILES

5.1. UPLOADING FILES

In the right side of the screen (FTP side), double click on

Double click on the folder corresponding to your affiliate

In the left side of your screen (Local side), open the folder where you have the files that
you want to upload

Select the file you want to upload in the lower part of your screen and “Drag and Drop it to
the FTP side (right side) of your screen:

You will see the progress of your transfer in the lower part of the FileZilla screen:

Do not close the connection or close FileZilla before the transfer is completed!

You have only the rights to upload files to the folder of your own affiliate and to the
folder

Note:

In the folder of your affiliate, access is restricted to you and the “Training Project” in Pau.

All users of our site will have full access to the folder.

Please inform us by mail if you have uploaded any files

5.2. DOWNLOADING FILES

You can only download files from

At the FTP side (right side) of the screen, open the folder from which you want to
download:

At the left side, open the folder to which you want to download and “Drag and Drop” the
files to the lower part of the left side:

You will see the progress of your transfer in the lower part of the FileZilla screen:

Do not close the connection or close FileZilla before the transfer is completed!
