Crochet pattern

Bull.
.

Size of the ready toy - height – 23 cm, length - 26 cm.


Materials: - plush yarn (HIMALAYA DOLPHIN BABY, Yarnart DOLCE
or another).
- the appropriate size of the hook (from № 3 to №5), in
this crochet pattern, the toy is crocheted with the hook № 3,75;
- stuffing (100% polyester, hollow fiber);
- needle for sewing, black thread for nostrils embroidering;
- plastic eyes 11 mm in diameter, eyelashes;
For this toy crocheting we will need:
- 1 ball of the main color for the body (Himalaya Dolphin Baby, color
80317);
- 1/6 ball of the brown color for the legs, horns and tail (Himalaya
Dolphin Baby, color 80337);
- a little of milky yarn for the face and ears (Himalaya Dolphin Baby,
color 80308).
Note: we crochet the toy itself in the circle (in the spiral) without chains
up. To indicate the rows, we use a row marker or a simple pin. The
number of loops that we got in this row is indicated in brackets.
Abbreviations:
- ch – chain stitch;
- sc – single crochet;
- dc – double crochet;
- hdc – half double crochet;
- inc – increase (we crochet 2 single crochets in one loop);
- dec – decrease (we crochet 2 single crochets together).

Legs.

Cast on a chain from 3 ch st using the brown


color yarn, and make a circle.

1 row: inc*3 (6)

2 row: inc*6 (12)

Begin to crochet the lift leg.

3 row: 12sc – we crochet this row


through the outer edge of the loops

4 row: 12sc
Change the color of the yarn to the main color
of the body.

5-9 row: 12sc


Cut the yarn.
Leg is ready!

The remaining three


legs, we crochet similarly.

Do not cut the yarn on the


fourth leg – continue body
crocheting.

Body with legs.


Fastening each leg, we capture the loop on it and crochet a single crochet.

Fasten all legs together in the next row. The beginning of this row is on the
leg with yarn. (leg №4, photo below).
10 row: 1ch st, 10sc on the first leg, 6ch stitches, 10sc on the second leg,
1ch st, 10sc on the third leg, 6 ch stitches, 10sc on the fourth leg (54)

This is how it should turn out as a result of


10th row crocheting.

There are 2 uncrochet loops remain on each


leg (we will fasten the tummy to them later).

11 row: 54sc

The beginning of
the row is indicated with marker.

12 row: (inc, 5sc)*9 (63)


13-17 rows: 63sc

18 row: (dec, 3sc)*12, dec, 1sc (50)


19 row: 50sc

Leave the work and begin to crochet the


tummy, this is more convenient at this
stage.

Tummy.

Cast on a chain from 8 ch stitches using the


body color yarn and start working into the
third loop from the hook.

The beginning of crocheting into the


third loop from the hook gives us an
extra loop.
- crochet 5sc, 4sc in one loop, 5sc, inc

Tummy is ready. Do not cut the yarn, as


we will fasten the tummy to the body using
it.

Pup the tummy exactly to its place front


side down and fasten, capturing one loop of
the body and one loop of the tummy.
The tummy is in place, we continue to knit
the body.

22 row: 30 sc
Stuff the body with stuffing materials.
Give the toy the needed shape during the
stuffing.
Stuff the toy tightly to make it sustainable.

End the crocheting with decreases. Cut the


yarn and hide the end inside the work.

Body is ready!
Head.

Cast on a chain from 4 ch stitches using the


body color yarn and make a circle.

2 row: inc*8 (16)


3 row: (1sc, inc)*8 (24)

4 row: (2sc, inc)*8 (32)


5 row: (3sc, inc)*8 (40)
6-12 rows: 40sc

Begin to make the decreases


13 row: (dec, 3sc)*8 (32)
14 row: (dec, 2sc)*8 (24)

15 row: (dec, 1sc)*8 (16)


16 row: 16sc

Stuff the head giving it beautiful and smooth


form of a ball.

17 row: dec*8 (8)

End the crocheting with decreases, cut the yarn and


hide the end inside the work.
Head is ready!
Sew the head to the body.

Muzzle.

Cast on a chain from 7 ch stitches using the


milk-colored yarn. Start working into the
third loop from
the hook.

1 row: 4sc, 4sc in one loop, 4sc, inc (15)


2 row: inc, 5sc, inc, inc, 6sc, inc (19)

3 row: inc, 7sc, inc, inc, 8sc, inc (23)

4 row: 23sc
5 row: 10sc, 2 hdc

End the work and cut the yarn.


Muzzle is ready!

Put some stuffing materials into the muzzle


and sew it to the head.

Place the eyes and indicate the place for


mouth using the pins.

In the process of eyes sewing we make a


mouth sculpting.

Turn the work upside


down and fasten the yarn, as in the photo
and crochet a mouth. - sc, hdc, 2dc, hdc, sc
Cut the yarn, and hide the end inside the
work.
Ears.

Ears consist of two details. One detail of body color, second – milk-
colored yarn.
We crochet both details according to one scheme.
Firstly, we crochet milk-colored details, then of body color.

1 row: cast on 2 ch st and crochet 2sc into the


first loop (3)

We crochet each new row turning the work.

2 row: turning chain, 3sc (4)


3 row: turning chain, 4sc (5)
4 row: turning chain, 5sc (6)
5 row: turning chain, 6sc (7)

Start to make the decreases.


We insert the hook into the
second loop in all subsequent
rows.

6 row: turning chain, 5sc (6)


7 row: turning chain,4sc (5)
8 row: turning chain, 3sc (4)
9 row: turning chain, 2sc (3)
10 row: turning chain, 1sc (2)

One half of the ear is ready Do not cut the yarn,


we will fasten both details using it.

Join both details together crocheting the


loops of both details together..

Crochet 2 Sc at the end,


pulling the edge of the ear.
Ear is ready!

Crochet the second ear in the


same way.

Sew the ears to the head.

Horns.

Cast on a chain from 3 ch stitches using the


brown color yarn and make a circle.

1 row: inc*3 (6)


2-3 rows: 6 sc

4 row: (inc, 2sc)*2 (8)


5-6 rows: 8sc

Cut the end of the thread, hide the tip inside the
work. Do not stuff the horns.

Horns are ready, sew to them on the top


of the head.

Ee crochet hair between the horns with loop stitches.


Fasten the yarn, hide the end inside the work.
*insert the hook into the loop of a row where we fastened the yarn
and leave a loop of the needed size, withdraw the yarn and crochet a
single crochet*. Repeat from * to *. (Photos above and below)

Length of the loop stitch 4-5 cm.

We crochet in the spiral. Cut the


yarn at the end and hide the tip inside
the work.
Tail.

Cast on a chain from 3 ch stitches using the


brown color yarn and make a circle.

1 row: inc*3 (6)


2 row: 6sc

3 row: (inc, 1sc)*3 (9)


4 row: 9sc

5 row: (inc, 2sc)*3 (12)


6 row: 12sc

7 row: (dec, 1sc)*4 (8)


8 row: (dec, 2sc)*2 (6)

Stuff some stuffing materials to give the needed


shape to the tail.
Change the color of the yarn and continue
crocheting using the body color yarn.
9-16 rows: 6sc

Cut the yarn and hide the end inside the work.

Tail is ready!

Sew the tail.

Embroider the nostrils using the black


color thread.

Glue the eyelashes.

Tie the satin ribbon in the neck.


Bull is ready!
