Water Cycle

The water cycle is the continuous movement of water on Earth, transitioning between liquid, gas, and solid forms. It consists of four main stages: evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. This cycle ensures that water is constantly recycled and never runs out.

WATER CYCLE

What is the Water Cycle?

The water cycle is the continuous journey of water as it moves

around the Earth — from the land to the sky and back again. It
means the same water keeps going around and around — it never
runs out, it just changes form (liquid, gas, or solid) again and again.

Main Stages of the Water Cycle

1. Evaporation

o The sun heats up water in rivers, lakes, or oceans.

o The water turns into vapour (gas) and rises into the air.
2. Condensation

o The water vapour cools down high in the sky.

o It changes back into tiny water droplets and forms clouds.

3. Precipitation

o When the clouds get heavy, the water falls back to Earth as
rain, snow, or hail.

4. Collection

o The rainwater collects in rivers, lakes, and oceans again.

o From there, the cycle starts all over again!
