What’s your favourite film?
Catalina, 12: Matilda the Musical
My favourite film is Matilda the Musical. I saw it at the cinema in 2023, with my best friends from
school, Martina and Mia. We all loved it! The main character, Matilda, is fabulous. She isn’t
always a good girl, but she’s really clever and brave. At her school, a teacher called Miss Honey
is kind and wonderful, but the head teacher, Miss Trunchbull, is very cruel to Matilda and her
classmates. Matilda isn’t scared of Miss Trunchbull because she’s got amazing powers! She
helps her classmates and she’s a hero. The film is a musical, of course, and the songs are all
fantastic. But it’s a comedy too, and a fantasy film. It’s brilliant!
Rachid, 14: Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again
My favourite film is Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again. It’s from 2022, but I watched
it in 2023. I saw it at the cinema with my cousin, Ali, and we had so much fun! There were three
other Night at the Museum films before this one. The others weren’t animated films, but this one
is. It’s great. I like it because it’s funny and fast, and sometimes scary. There’s a lot of action.
The story happens one night in the Museum of Natural History. A boy called Nick is looking after
the place for his father, Larry, but it isn’t an easy job. There’s a big villain called Kahmunrah.
Nick has many adventures that night!
