Case Study 3: Project Management Application
Customer DEF is a leading real estate corporation in Vietnam. Currently they do not have a
comprehensive IT solution to support their complex daily operation and project activities. Most of
project information is managed by using Excel and the managers do not have any tool to evaluate the
staff’s performance. They do not have IT officer to manage their IT infrastructure.

thông tin dự án được quản lý bằng cách dùng Excel và những người quản lý không có công cụ nào để
đánh giá hiện quả của nhân viên. Họ chưa có nhân viên IT để quản lý hạ tầng IT của họ.
Because of those problems, DEF wants to build new system with following characteristics:
1. All the projects information will be managed by the new web application. The projects can come
from branches, departments.
2. All the project tasks (WBS) is logged to the system and monitored by supervisors
3. Each project task is assigned to one or more staffs who can use the system to update the task
status or re-assign to lower level staff.
4. The system will have following features:
Dashboard to display the project summary
Search for projects
Add new project
Create WBS for project
Manage the PO/Invoice
Manage customer information
Notification/Alert
Create new tasks
Assign task to staff
Monitor the task progress
Manage the meeting agenda
Reports
Manage the personal performance (timesheet, productivity)
Online chat
Login/Logout
Role/Permission management (Directors, Project Assistants, Team Leads, Staffs)
Manage master data
5. The web application support responsive design. FPT provide the UI/UX design service.
6. A mobile version on iOS with have full functions from the web application
7. FPT have to perform the performance and security testing
8. FPT to propose the hardware sizing for new system
9. The new system must be ready for Go-live after 5 months from awarded date.
10. The warranty period is 03 months
