ABOUT THE AUTHOR

My name is Ryan Michael Ballow. I’m the founder of Cortex Labs,
a brain performance optimization company that has a nootropic stack

panying stacks, or combinations of ingredients, that you can use to

upward mobility at your job, to move the ball forward in your busi-

We will break stacks down by the individual compounds that make

SECTION 1: MODAFINIL NOOTROPIC STACKS

Modafinil is an anti-narcoleptic nootropic compound, that is taken by
productive business people all around the world. It is primarily a
scheduled drug, that can either be acquired with a prescription from a
doctor, for conditions like sleep apnea and chronic fatigue, or can be
purchased directly through pharmaceutical companies selling generic
versions in countries like India.

I know, I know, that sounds a bit fishy: but it’s not. These companies
sell high quality Modafinil product, that you can purchase over the
internet, to achieve significant brain performance from Modafinil.
And don’t worry: there is a cousin of Modafinil called Adrafinil, that
we will lay out later in this guide, that works just as well, and is
100% unscheduled.

But first, let’s run through the details of Modafinil.

MODAFINIL: BASIC BREAKDOWN

Modafinil is a wakefulness promoting nootropic compound, that is
long lasting, and is primarily used for long stints of productive work.
It has the following effects for people that respond well to it:

1 Improved speed of mental processing.

2 Improved working memory.

3 Improved reaction speed.

4 Improved verbal fluency.

5 Improved cognitive endurance.

6 Improved productivity flow.

7 Improved motivation.

Sounds amazing right? Sound a bit pie in the sky? It’s not. Modafinil
works on improving a group of peptides in your brain called “orexin

neurons,” that inhibit sleep. The outcome equals: a profound up-

regulation in wakefulness.

It also increases the quantity of a motivation neurotransmitter, that

you’ve probably heard of, called Dopamine. It has a few other mech-
anisms, but these are the dominant ones. The end result from this
type of modification to brain chemistry is usually a strong urge to be
productive, lots of cognitive endurance, and an enhancement in all
mental performance faculties.

Modafinil has been proven largely safe across many in depth studies.
But – that doesn’t mean it’s devoid of side effects. Side effects are
definitely possible with Modafinil. But.. there is a way to minimize
or eliminate them, and it all has to do with your DOSE.

MODAFINIL DOSE RANGE

The dose range on Modafinil is 25-250MG. Usually, folks find a
sweet spot between 25-75MG. Everyone is different, so you’ll have
to experiment on a dose that works for you, but generally, these
parameters apply to most people.

And in relation to side effects, which can be: overstimulation, anxiety,

nervousness,and edginess, the dose makes the outcome. As an ex-
ample: if I take 200MG Modafinil, I get edgy and anxious. If I stick
with 75MG, I get clean, good focus, and feel limitless. The dose is
everything.

MODAFINIL STANDALONE PROTOCOLS

Firstly, Modafinil doesn’t have to be complicated: it can be taken
by itself, and will still be extremely potent, and useful for business
productivity. Here are a few solid standalone Modafinil strategies:

1 40MG Modafinil with 1 cup of coffee – This is a powerful

combination of Modafinil and Caffeine, that bumps your produc-
tivity above baseline, without high dosing on Modafinil.

2 75MG Modafinil standalone – Modafinil can be taken by

itself, without anything, and 75MG nearly guarantees a good solid
productivity boosting effect, and an improvement in all the major

areas of brain performance, related to productivity and work output.

3 150MG Modafinil standalone – This stakes the dose up con-

siderably, and will be profoundly more stimulatory and facilitative
of mental performance. If your brain handles it well, this dose is

seem illegal to have this much brain performance, and you’ll be
happy with your work output.

4 200MG Modafinil – This is right about at the highest tolera-

ble dose of Modafinil for most people. If you handle it well, this
will be the top of the food chain.. the best of the best.. the highest
echelon of brain performance you can achieve with a standalone
Modafinil strategy.

5 100MG Sublingual Modafinil – This brings in a curveball

of dosing Modafinil under the tongue, or “sublingually.” You can
achieve this in two ways: if you’ve purchased tablet Modafinil
somewhere on the web, you can crush the tablet into powder, and
put it under your tongue for 5 minutes to dissolve. Spit it out
thereafter.

Or – you can work your way through the various Facebook noot-
ropics groups that we’ll lay out at the end of this guide, to find good
sources for powdered Modafinil. This does exist, and typically comes
from pharmaceutical labs in China. But suffice it to say, sublingually
dosing 100MG of Modafinil is quite strong, and will crank up brain
performance noticeably.

MODAFINIL NOOTROPIC STACKS FOR THE BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL

This will be the most takeaway dense part of the Modafinil section.
In this section, I will lay out some of the most powerful Modafinil
nootropic stacks for business productivity that exist. Remember: I
am a business person like you. I require a particular echelon of brain
performance throughout my day, and I have tested these stacks on
myself, and myriads of consulting clients that are ALL BUSINESS
PEOPLE.

They are powerful, effective, and turn on virtually every area of brain

combine Modafinil with very many other nootropic compounds, to

1 50MG Modafinil/500MG Oxiracetam/500MG Choline

Bitartrate – This stack will be stimulatory, and facilitative of
working memory. It brings in a racetam nootropic, Oxiracetam
to improve focus, memory, and verbal fluency, while Modafinil
supplies an even keel of background productive brain function.

2 30MG Modafinil/400MG Aniracetam/150MG CDP Choline –

This stack turns up the stimulation, and radically improves mental
speed of processing. It will also be highly motivating, and should
orient you toward getting a lot done.

3 100MG Modafinil/50MG Phenylpiracetam/500MG Choline

Bitartrate – This stack will be exceptionally stimulatory, and for

purchased in bulk from pharmaceutical powder vendors in China, but
I cannot suggest any that I trust at this time, merely because I haven’t
done enough diligence. That’s up to you. But – everything you need

But Modafinil is merely one tool in the arsenal. There are many
others, to include many of the class of nootropics called “Racetams,”
which we’re going to breakdown, and then a large handful of other
carefully selected nootropic compounds that are most optimal for
business productivity. Like....

SECTION 2: OXIRACETAM NOOTROPIC STACKS

Oxiracetam is a powerful racetam nootropic. It sits in the class of
nootropics that are the most studied, and the most well known.
Racetams all work similarly, but have different mechanisms in some
cases. Some put focus brain chemicals into use in memory centric
regions of the brain like Oxiracetam and Aniracetam, and others, like
Coluracetam improve the brain’s synthesis of said focus chemicals,
like the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine.

OXIRACETAM BASIC BREAKDOWN

Oxiracetam is known as the “laser focus” racetam. It improves men-
tal fluidity, speed of processing, working memory, and focus capac-
ity. It is used by business people all around the world to facilitate
productive business output.

It can be taken with many other nootropics, including Modafinil as

we discussed in the previous section, and is powerful in its own right.
It can be stacked with other racetams, taken with many other noot-
ropic compounds, or administered by itself. It can be taken orally, or
sublingually.

OXIRACETAM DOSE RANGE

The dose range on Oxiracetam is 200-1500MG, and most folks are

going to find a sweet spot at between 500-1000MG. Some microdose

it at 200MG every few hours, and that’s a strategy right there that
you can employ, but most take it at higher doses and combine it with
other nootropics.

OXIRACETAM STANDALONE STACKS

As I mentioned above, Oxiracetam can absolutely be taken singu-
larly, but first, a primer on the necessary co-factor for some people
taking Oxiracetam: choline. Choline is a complex B vitamin like
compound, that helps the brain build a focus neurotransmitter called
Acetylcholine.

Racetams like Oxiracetam, force the brain to release and use more
of this neurotransmitter, Acetylcholine, and therefore, a lot of users
require taking some form of Choline with any racetam that does this,
like Oxiracetam. There are 3 forms of Choline for the purposes of
this guide. They are:

1 Alpha GPC – This compound is more available to the brain,

and provides rapid increases in Acetylcholine.

2 CDP Choline – This compound is also very available to the

brain, provides rapid increases in Acetylcholine, but also modifies
Dopamine receptors, inducing motivation.

3 Choline Bitartrate – This compound will also build Acetyl-

choline in the brain, but in a more even distributed manner, a lot
less acutely, and in a bit less of a bioavailable way. That doesn’t
mean it’s bad, it just means Alpha GPC and CDP Choline are more
potent for the production of Acetylcholine.

Which Choline source you take with racetams will depend on how
you respond to those Choline sources, but, there are some largely
applicable dose ranges with certain doses of Oxiracetam, that I will
lay out in the stacks below. OK! Let’s get to some Oxiracetam
standalone strategies:

1 700MG Oxiracetam/300MG Choline Bitartrate – This is

a basic Oxiracetam strategy. But don’t let “basic” fool you. This

stack will turn on focus, working memory, and speed of processing

for most people. It’s a great, simplistic, focus stack to have around.

2 500MG Oxiracetam/175MG Alpha GPC – Another basic

Oxiracetam stack here, but powerful nonetheless. This stack will
focus on FOCUS and verbal fluency, with strong hints of working
memory, via the Alpha GPC.

3 1000MG Oxiracetam/150MG CDP Choline – A somewhat

basic Oxiracetam stack, but taking the dose up to 1000MG really
amplifies the “laser focus” effect of this nootropic. With CDP
Choline as the Acetylcholine building block, you really turn on:
motivation, memory, focus, and productive drive with this stack.

4 1300MG Oxiracetam/300MG Alpha GPC – Some people are

going to require higher doses of this compound for the best effects.
For them, this stack amplifies focus, working memory capacity,
and brain fluidity. This is a great all around brain function stack for
productive work environments.

5 1500MG Oxiracetam/400MG CDP Choline – This stack will

be profoundly stimulatory and motivating. Need to sit down for
two or so hours and just crank out a bunch of work? This is the
stack to take. It takes the doses up on both the racetam and the
Choline source, to amplify the effects of both.

Ok! Those are 5 solid standalone Oxiracetam strategies. And trust

In my experimentation with Oxiracetam, I realized I could stack it
with compounds like Theacrine, Modafinil, CDP Choline, ALCAR,

tive business output. In this section, I’m going to break down some

Theacrine is an underrated, highly effective, Caffeine like compound.
It is stimulatory, drives motivation, and is one of the most useful
nootropic compounds to take for the type of brain function business
productivity requires.

THEACRINE BASIC BREAKDOWN

Theacrine, to make it simple, is a cousin of Caffeine. It accumulates
on a genus of plants called

“Camellia,” and then gets put into a pharmaceutical preparation to

eventually form a supplement version of the chemical.

It works similarly to Caffeine in turning up wakefulness and mental

capacity, but different in that it has a longer half life (stays active
in your system longer), requires a lot less to achieve a significant
result, and anecdotally among nootropics enthusiasts, motivates them
significantly to get work done. That’s why I love this compound so
much. It’s highly stimulatory, motivating, and springboards productive
action.

THEACRINE DOSE RANGE

The dose range on Theacrine is 20-200MG, with most people finding
a sweet spot at between 25-75MG. The way you dose Theacrine solely
depends on what you’re stacking it with. For example: if you’re
putting it together with Caffeine, you’ll need significantly less of it,
because both Caffeine and Theacrine are stimulatory compounds,
that work on similar areas of the brain.

But if you were to say, stack Theacrine with Noopept, Alpha GPC,
and Vinpocetine, as we’ll lay out in the next section on stacks, you
could take Theacrine in pretty high doses, and use it as the base of
the nootropic stack, and then medium dose the other compounds to
get a nice balanced effect.

But, like other compounds, it can be taken by itself, so we’re going

to run through a few standalone strategies taking Theacrine, and what
to expect from them.

In this quick section, we’ll lay out some easy standalone strategies
to take Theacrine. The dose variations will be solely related to the
magnitude of effects you want, in terms of mental stimulation, and
the quantity of work you need to get done. Ok! Here we go!!

1 50MG Theacrine – This is a simple Theacrine dose, that should

give you an idea of how the compound effects you. It should be
mildly stimulatory, with a solid background motivation to get work
done.

2 75MG Theacrine – This dose takes the MG quantity up just a

bit, to bring in a bit more of a potent stimulation, and thus motiva-
tion to get work done and inclination to be productive.

3 100MG Theacrine – This dose will be a standard functional

dose for lots of people. For those that require a bit more Caffeine
than the average person, this is the dose for you. For those that
respond to lower doses of Theacrine, this dose will turn up the
mental energy amperage quite a bit, and give you the capacity to
bang out your to-do list.

4 150MG Theacrine – This is a highly stimulatory dose of

Theacrine. It will put your brain in GO MODE, and get you primed
to get things done. It will be too stimulatory for some, perfectly
stimulatory for others, so dose wisely, and monitor your effects.

5 200MG Theacrine – Ok! This will turn all the lights on. This
dose of Theacrine is on the higher end, and for some people, they’ll

finding a good sweet spot at between 25-75MG. This is one of the
most convenient things about this racetam. It’s extremely easy to use,
requires low doses, and is insanely effective.

relates to business professionals and productivity, is that of all of the
nootropics we discuss in this guide, besides perhaps Modafinil, it is
the best candidate for a simple standalone nootropic to take, that will

SECTION 7: ALCAR NOOTROPIC STACKS

ALCAR, short for “Acetyl-L-Carnitine,” is a mental energy, verbal
fluency, and focus inducing nootropic compound, that directly fuels
brain cell mitochondria. In other words: it provides usable energy for
the powerhouses of your brain cells, to use for amperage and output.
Let’s break it down a bit further.

ALCAR BASIC BREAKDOWN

Acetyl-L-Carnitine, or “ALCAR,” is a more easily absorbable version
of a chemical called L-Carnitine.

L-Carnitine is made by your body, synthesized from foods like red

meat. It’s job is to help shuttle fatty acids throughout the body, to be
used inside of cells, to produce energy.

But ALCAR is acetylated, which simply means it has acetic acid

attached to it (attached to the L-Carnitine), which allows it to cross
easily into the blood brain barrier, and effect brain cells. What this
means is that the body, while using ALCAR, can bring fatty acids
easily to the brain for mitochondria to use them for fuel, and what
that translates to for you, is simply: more brain energy. Literally.

ALCAR DOSE RANGE

The dose range on ALCAR is 200-1000MG, for all intents and purposes
relating to business productivity. Most folks are going to find a sweet
spot between 200-500MG. The compound can absolutely be taken by
itself, and is extremely effective merely as a standalone.

My personal sweet spot on ALCAR is 300-500MG, whether I’m

stacking it with other compounds or not. Sometimes, on days where
I just want to attack the to-do list, and need a lot of mental energy,
I just go with a strong cup of coffee, and 500MG ALCAR, and I’m
off to the races. And there are a few solid other strategies in taking
ALCAR with minimal other compounds, that allow it to act as a
standalone nootropic compound. Let’s get into them!

ALCAR STANDALONE PROTOCOLS

1 300MG ALCAR – This is a great starting point for anyone

taking ALCAR for the first time. It should induce a nice functional
brain energy, giving you an idea of how the compound affects you.

2 500MG ALCAR – This takes the dose up considerably to really

turn on the brain energy. Within 20 minutes of taking this dose,
you should start to notice the mental energy start flooding in. This
protocol is great for getting ahead of your to-do list first thing in
the morning.

3 700MG ALCAR/strong cup of coffee – Combining ALCAR

with Coffee is a nootropic stack in and of itself. For some people,
they’ll require higher doses of ALCAR, and this combination of
ALCAR/Coffee will get the bells ringing.

4 1000MG ALCAR – this is considered high dose ALCAR,

and thought it may be too stimulatory for some people, it will be
perfectly energizing for others. Use this protocol if you really want
to crank up brain energy to get to work on a long task that requires
cognitive endurance.

5 1000MG ALCAR/1-2 cups of Coffee – Combining ALCAR

with Coffee again, is a powerful strategy. But 1G of ALCAR with
1-2 cups of Coffee is like rocketfuel for the business mind. Some-
times, when I cycle off of all nootropics, I use this strategy and it’s
just perfect for me. Use this protocol if you need to spend a lot of
time working on something, and you haven’t made a dent in it yet.
