MEMO
To: Team Leaders – Participating Clubs
From: CEZOBAL Executive Committee
Date: 12th June, 2025
Subject: Chairman’s Cup Program and Rules
Venue:
All games will be played at the Bingu National Stadium (BNS) Court.
Tournament Format:
Both the Men's and Women's categories will be played in a single-elimination format (YOU SNOOZE, YOU
LOSE). A draw will be conducted before the games to determine the matchups.
Men's Category:
The four winners will advance to the semifinals.
Teams will be seeded based on their point differential. The team with the highest point differential will
receive the first seed.
If point differentials are tied, the team that scored the most points will receive the higher seed.
Semifinal matchups will be: Position 1 vs Position 4 and Position 2 vs Position 3.
Semifinal winners will proceed to the final. There will be no third-place game.
Women's Category:
The three winners will automatically qualify for the semifinals.
The fourth semifinal seed will be granted to the "best loser", which is the team with the lowest negative
point differential among the losing teams. If tied, the team that scored the most points will take the fourth
seed.
Semifinal seeding will follow the same rules as the Men's category.

Youth Category (Boys and Girls)
Both the Boys' and Girls' categories will play a best-of-two game series.
If the series is tied 1-1, the team with the better point differential will be crowned champions.
If the point differential is also tied, a 3-minute overtime period(s) will be played until a winner is determined.
