TEACHERS EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

We are pleased to offer you a contract of employment as a Teacher of Believers Kwa watoto center on year
renewable contract will be effective from -----------------------------------[Link] responsibilities are outlined in the
job description shared in page 3 of this document.

The parties to this agreement, in consideration of the mutual covenants and stipulations set out
herein, agree:

1. Employment with the school is for a period of one year commencing in ------------and ending in ------------

as unpaid on all school-year holidays and vacations, as designated in the school calendar.

2. Probationary Period. The first Three months of the your employment at Believers kwa Watoto center shall
be considered.

employment may be terminated by the employer if deemed necessary.

[Link] of Intention. You shall be required to notify an intention of returning or not returning no
later than one week. You shall teach the full year under any subsequent agreement between you and the
School.
9. Discharge. School may discharge you for just cause, and thereby terminate this agreement, provided that
you will be notified of the cause or causes for discharge and given the opportunity to appear before the
school Management Board for a formal hearing, within thirty days of such notification, prior to any final
action. "Just cause" shall include, but not be limited to: incompetency, immorality, intemperance,
insubordination, physical or mental incapacity, violation of a law involving moral turpitude, and
unprofessional conduct reflecting great discredit on you or School, or impairing seriously the continued
usefulness or ability to teach.

10. Release from Agreement. You shall not be released from this agreement, except for unusual
circumstances that will be reviewed by the School Management board before such release may be granted.
11. Unpaid Leaves of Absence. Requested extended unpaid leaves of absence shall be considered by the
(School) Board of Directors, after considering the matter.
12. Sick Leave. Teacher is entitled to seven (7) full days of sick leave without salary deductions. during the
term of this contract. These seven days shall not be cumulative and, if not used, shall cease to be available at
the end of the contract year.
13. Salary Deductions. Absences above and beyond the number of days mentioned in Clause 12, above,
shall result in a pro-rated deduction of salary for each day of such absence.
17. Additional duties. Teacher shall also assume any other duties as assigned by the Headteacher or the
director.

If you accept the above terms and conditions, please sign this contract letter as your acceptance and return
the second copy to The director for records.

Job role :Teacher

Reporting to : The Management.

Time : 7:30 am to 4:00pm

From : Monday to Friday

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 Plan and Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
 Plan and execute educational and other extracurricular activities and events
 Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning.
 Plan and manage school trips, and Organize displays and equipment.
 Create learning resources and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
 Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback Maintain a tidy and orderly
classroom
 Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
 Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
 Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
 Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
 Participate in meetings to discuss school policies and student progress.

 Ensure students are safe and behaving appropriately when in class,play group and on field trips
 Ensuring equitable treatment for all students .
