Dear priya,
I am glad to receive your letter. In the letter you have wanted to know about my
preparation for the examination. I am now writing about it.
You will be very glad to know that I have made a fair progress in my preparation.
So, nowadays I am a bit more confident because I have totally a clear
understanding of the nature of the question papers in the exam. Besides, I have
read the text books thoroughly and explored every nook and corner of them.
Moreover, the complex questions are already memorized. Mathematics, English,
General Science and Arabic are in my daily practice routine. I believe I can do well
with any sorts of question. Now I am checking my weak –point.
I hope I can overcome it successfully. Pray for me so that I can achieve an expected
outcome.
Your loving cousin.!

Subject: Listen to me
Dear Vedang,
I am greatly surprised having come to know that you have some problem with
hearing, and more shocked to learn that you are not serious about it. I have a few
words for this. First of all, without wasting a day, manage to contact an ENT
specialist. Get your hearing checked. Try to know the problem and status of your
loss of hearing. Follow the advice of the doctor strictly.
If you are advised to use some hearing aid, don’t ignore it. There are quite
sophisticated hearing aids and devices available in the market. Don’t feel ashamed
of using the fittest for you. Avoiding or postponing the thing can tell upon you in
compensably. I hope you have an open mind and you will take urgent steps to
tackle this problem of your prospective irreversible loss!”
Yours lovingly,
Ruchit

A. Write an essay on the following in about 200 words.
Online Shopping v/s Offline Shopping
[Introduction – availability – variety – price cheek – return /refund policies quality
– pocket¬friendliness – time-factor – conclusion]
Ans. : Thinking of shopping, you might come up with a sentence like “When
comparing online shopping with traditional shopping, I found that online shopping
seems to provide extra convenience while the traditional shopping provides a
greater comfort factor”. Traditional shopping can be very time consuming if you
haven’t made the decision of what to buy. By contrast, online shopping allows
people to shop anytime, anywhere, and of course with no boundaries between
countries. In fact, these two ways of shopping share the same purpose, which is
buying things. Yet, there are some ! differences between them.
The first difference between online shopping: and traditional shopping is
authenticity. To make an appealing advertisement of products, some online
shopping stores tend to exaggerate the facts of the products. By contrast, most
traditional stores have no guts to do so. It is because Veal stores must display the
products in front of customers in order to let them touch and f^el the products.
The advantage of buying things in the real stores is the products speak for
themselves and the disadvantage of buying things online is the products may or
may not be authentic.
The second difference between online shopping and traditional shopping is
convenience. Shopping online reduces limitations. It is so convenient that you can
shop anytime and anywhere. For example, you can easily visit the website, find the
product you want to buy and wait for the product being delivered to you. If you
Page 3
need time to reconsider about the products, all you have to do is put the product
in the virtual shopping bag or on the virtual wish list. Usually, you have to pay
additional shipping costs while shopping online. By contrast, real store shopping is
not convenient for people who live far away from stores. Real store shopping is
too time-consuming for customers to drive to the stores. In other words, shopping
online is more convenient than shopping in traditional stores.
The last difference between online shopping and traditional shopping is the safety
issue. Online shopping is not always safe. To make an order online, you have to
expose personal data and credit card information. Some bad people can access
personal information easily through online transactions and steal it for
unauthorized deals. That is to say, it is quite hard for consumers that buy stuff
online to avoid exposing personal data. However, people don’t have to worry
about things like that while shopping on the street. But people who shop in the
traditional store have to worry whether the sellers give them counterfeit as
change. In fact, it is a small safety issue that can be avoided by being careful while
making transactions in traditional stores.
In conclusion, both kinds of shopping have merits and shortages. The benefits of
both shopping online and shopping in real stores are countless. However, it is true
that sometimes merits could become shortages and vice versa, depending on the
different perspectives that people hold.

Ans. :
Debate Between Sun and Wind
Once upon a time, in the vast sky, the Sun and Wind were having a debate about
who was more powerful and great.
Wind, feeling very proud of his strength, boasted, "I am far stronger than you, Sun.
I can blow away anything in my path with my force. No one can stand against my
power. I am the true king of the skies."
The Sun, calm and humble, smiled and said, "Power is not always about force.
Strength lies in knowing when to act and how to use one’s energy."
The Wind, unable to accept the Sun's humility, challenged him. "Let us see. There is
a man walking through the forest, wrapped in a shawl. Whoever can make him
take off his shawl will be the true victor."
The Wind blew with all its might, howling through the trees. It tried to blow the
man’s shawl off, but the harder the Wind blew, the tighter the man gripped the
shawl. No matter how strong the gusts, the shawl stayed in place.
Now, it was the Sun’s turn. The Sun began to shine brightly, casting its warm rays
upon the man. As the warmth touched him, he felt comfortable and relaxed.
Slowly, he removed his shawl and continued on his way.
The Wind was silenced, realizing that the Sun’s gentle warmth had done what his
forceful blows could not.
