PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
THREE-PHASE GREEN SERIES
- GREEN6 - GREEN8 - GREENX -
S.P.E. Three-phase GREEN series chargers allow to modify
charging curve, charging current and nominal battery
voltage, but do not allow to change and iSHUNT. Changes in
this parameter inevitably affect the correct operation of
the charger.
1 - SET CHARGING CURVE FROM THE DISPLAY
Turn on the battery charger without battery connection.
Home screen will be the following one:
UP button
DOWN button
Enter
Press the UP button to have access to the main menu.
In order to start the programming procedure of the charging curve, scroll
down to the menu 4 > PROGRAM.
Confirm with "Enter" and scroll to 4.1 > USER PARAM.
Scroll down to 4.4.4 > PASSWORD INS., then press "Enter".
Insert the password "2011" to set the charging curve: modify default value
(set to "0") with UP and DOWN buttons.
To proceed with the programming procedure, after each modification it is
necessary to save the set parameter, by pressing SAVE PARAMETERS, then
EXIT.
In the "PROGRAM" menu, scroll to 4.5 > CURVE PARAM-FIX and press
"Enter". Scroll to 4.5.1 and select the charging curve, confirming with "Enter"
(in the following example, from Curve 1 to Curve 4):
Save again the changes by pressing SAVE PARAMETERS, then EXIT.
Go back to menu 4.1 > USER PARAM. and reset the password to the default
value ("0"). Press SAVE PARAMETERS and EXIT.
2 - CHANGE THE CHARGING CURRENT
FROM THE DISPLAY
Turn on the battery charger without battery connection.
Home screen will be the following one:
UP button
DOWN button
Enter
Press the UP button to have access to the main menu:
In order to start the programming procedure of the charging current, scroll
down to the menu 4 > PROGRAM
Confirm with "Enter" and scroll to 4.1 > USER PARAM.
Scroll down to 4.4.4 > PASSWORD INS., then press "Enter".
Insert the password "33" to set the charging current: modify default value
(set to "0") with UP and DOWN buttons.
To proceed with the programming procedure, after each modification it is
necessary to save the set parameter, by pressing SAVE PARAMETERS, then
EXIT.
In the "PROGRAM" menu, scroll to 4.4 > CURRENT PARAM and press "Enter".
Scroll to 4.3.2 and select the charging current, confirming with "Enter" (in the
following example, from 100A to 60A). Then, scroll to point 4.3.4 > MAX
POWER and select the right value (see following tables).
Do not change iSHUNT value!
Find in the following table allowed nominal current.
Maximum nominal current (GREEN6 - GREEN8 - GREENX)

96 V C 25 A 50 A 75 A 100 A 125 A 150 A
Note: maximum current per number of modules. Lower current configuration available
It is necessary to change Maximum power.
Based on the chosen current value, find in the following table calculation
formula for Maximum power.
Maximum power Formula
24 V 29.40 * I
36 V 44.10 * I
48 V 58.80 * I
72 V 88.20 * I
80 V 98.00 * I
96 V 117.60 * I
I: chosen current [i.e. 36V 150A → 6615W]
Press SAVE PARAMETERS and EXIT.
Go back to the main menu: press "Enter" on the sub-menu 1 > MONITOR.
To check if the procedure has been carried out correctly, make sure that the
charge current value, shown on the top-right side of the display, is correct.
Finally, go to menu 4.1 > USER PARAM. and reset the password to the
default value ("0"). Press SAVE PARAMETERS and EXIT.
3 - CHANGE THE NOMINAL BATTERY VOLTAGE FROM
THE DISPLAY
Turn on the battery charger without battery connection.
Home screen will be the following one:
UP
DOWN
Enter
Press the UP button to have access to the main menu.
In order to start the programming procedure of the nominal battery voltage,
scroll down to the menu 4 > PROGRAM.
Confirm with "Enter" and scroll to 4.1 > USER PARAM.
Scroll down to 4.4.4 > PASSWORD INS., then press "Enter".
Insert the password "33" to set the nominal battery voltage: modify default
value ("0") with UP and DOWN buttons.
To proceed with the programming procedure, after each modification it is
necessary to save the set parameter, by pressing SAVE PARAMETERS, then
EXIT.
In the "PROGRAM" menu, scroll to 4.3 > VOLTAGE PARAM. and press
"Enter". Scroll to 4.2.1 and select nominal battery voltage, confirming with
"Enter" (in the following example, from 36V to 24V). Then scroll to 4.2.2 >
MINIM. VOLT. and select the right value.
Note: See Table A and Table B for the available configurations.
It is necessary to change Maximum power.
Go back to 4.1 > CURRENT PARAM. and scroll to point 4.3.4 > MAX POWER
and select the right value (see following tables).
Do not change iSHUNT value!
Based on the chosen voltage value and the actual current value, find in the
following table calculation formula for Maximum power.
Maximum power Formula

36 V 44.10 * I
48 V 58.80 * I
72 V 88.20 * I
80 V 98.00 * I
96 V 117.60 * I
I: actual current [i.e. 36V 100A → 4410W]
Press SAVE PARAMETERS and EXIT.
Go back to the main menu: press "Enter" on the sub-menu 1 > MONITOR.
To check if the procedure has been carried out correctly, make sure that the
