Epic Play Script: The Ramayana and The Scene 1: Birth of Rama

Mahabharata
Narrator:

PART I: THE RAMAYANA


In the ancient city of Ayodhya ruled King

Characters: Dasharatha. Though he was wise and

powerful, he had no children. He prayed to


Narrator (Beton)
the gods, and at last, four sons were born—
King Dasharatha (Roy Bahian)
Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana, and

Rama (Crestian Sabanal) Shatrughna. Among them, Rama shone with

Sita (Sunshine) strength, kindness, and righteousness.

Kaikeyi (Amber) (Dasharatha stands proudly with four young

princes. Rama bows before him.)


Ravana (Clint)
Dasharatha:
Hanuman (boy) (Ielsheen)
Rama, my son, you are the jewel of
Extra demons/monkeys
Ayodhya. One day, you shall wear the

Scene 2: Swayamvara of Sita

Narrator:

Monkeys:
When Rama came of age, a great contest

Rama: Rama (calmly):

Scene 4: Ravana’s Deception

But destiny tested Rama. On the eve of his

Narrator:
(Sita runs to Rama. They embrace.)

And indeed, Hanuman crossed the seas,

Scene 6: The Great War

Not love alone, Sita, but truth, devotion, and

Warriors (Pandavas/Kauravas) Yudhishthira (hesitant):

Pandavas: We accept, for we trust in fairness.

Author Narrator:

Amber But the dice were rigged. The Pandavas lost

wife, Draupadi.

Duryodhana (mocking):

Draupadi (fierce):
Scene 1: The Dice Game

Narrator: The Ramayana teaches us that love, loyalty,

and virtue conquer evil. The Mahabharata
