4 Cooling System (Engine & Hydraulic)
Make sure that the coolant fluid level on the cold engine is 2 in
[50 mm] below the filler neck. Add or remove coolant as
necessary.
Obtain a coolant sample for an analysis.
Examine the water pump belts for wear. Make sure that the
belt tension gives 1/2 to 3/4 in [13 to 19 mm] of movement.
5 Pneumatic System
Drain the water from the air reservoir and the air oil-water
separator.
Examine the lubricator oil level. Add oil as necessary.
Note: Use *SAE 10 or ISO 32 (nondetergent)
Make sure that the differential pressure gauge for the air inlet
filter is in the green zone. Replace as necessary.
6 Electrical System & Electronics
Make sure that the battery boxes, straps, cables, and
terminals are tight and clean. Repair as necessary.
When the engine is off, make sure that the voltage is > 24 V.
When the engine is in operation, make sure that the voltage is
26.5 to 27.5 V.
Examine the alternator belts for wear. Make sure that the belt
tension gives 1/2 to 3/4 in [13 to 19 mm] of movement.
Make sure that the alternator cables and the connectors are
clean and tight. Look for broken wires.
Make sure that all the Rota and electrical cable connector
caps are in position and secured by a lanyard.
Make sure that all the high-pressure filter indicator switches
are in position and in good condition.
Make sure that all the HPU container lights operate correctly,
are clean, and are not damaged.
7 Hydraulic System & Hoses
Examine the hydraulic components (gauges, valves, hoses,
fittings, and quick connectors) for damage, leaks, and
