Question 1
The tension force on the pulley is T = 400 N.
Calculate the resultant force acting on the pulley and its directional cosine.

If the tension force in cable A is 1200 N, calculate the tension force in cable B

The cable system below is used to support two masses A and B. The mass of
A is equal to 50 kg.

supported at A and roller supported at C. A force of 335 N is applied.
(a) Draw a free body diagram of the whole frame, and each of the members.

The frictionless pulley and frame system is used to support a mass m = 400 kg.
The frame is composed of members ABCD, BEF and CE. All members are
connected by internal pints. The frame is pin supported at point A and roller
supported at D.
Calculate all the horizontal and vertical components of all forces acting on each
of the members.

100kg is loaded with a pulley. The frame is pin supported at points A and B.

(a) Draw the overall free body diagram and the individual free body diagrams

(b) Determine the forces at pin C on member BCD.
