Overview
This document describes how to operate Cloud Terminal, including basic settings、administrations and
system tools, which gives users a detailed operation guide.

1 Product Introduction
1.1 Product Overview
The Cloud Terminal is based on embedded x86 platform. The maximum power consumption is less than
18W. Using Windows 10 Enterprise Edition, it is compatible with Huawei HDP, giving you a fluent OA
experience.
The client has eight USB ports and two display ports at least. Some even has more DP ports.
There are multiple models of Cloud Terminal, for specific hardware configuration, please refer to
respective specifications.
1.2 Product Features
1. Fully compatible with HDP, offering a fluent OA experience.
2. Powerful graphic processing, which supports two channel HD video playback.
3. Intel embedded platform, powerful but low consumption.
4. Solid-state drive provides high performance and reliability, and shockproof and anti-fall as well.
Even working under extreme temperature, shocking and interfering circumstances, your data will
be safe.
5. The nature cooling design effectively reduce fan failures and noises, making the terminal more
reliable and the office quieter.
6. Through Terminal Managing System, administrators can remotely control access on the peripherals
connected to the terminal.
7. 1 USB 3.0 port, 7 USB 2.0 ports.

1.3 Security Features
1. Boot Security
The terminal can be set to boot from internal firmware only, booting from U-Disk and network is
prevented.
2. OS Security
Using Windows’ unique write filtering technique, OS’s files are protected from being damaged by
trojans or sabotage.
3. Management Security
The terminal and managing system authenticate each other, ensuring the terminal managed by
specific system, and no illegal terminals connecting to the system.
4. Peripheral Security
User can set USB, serial and parallel port devices allowed or not, ensuring terminal security.

2 Operation Guides
Cloud Terminal is based on Windows 10 Enterprise Edition, and uses Windows 10 standard desktop. All
basic operations are the same with Windows 10, which will not be illustrated in this document.
This operation guide is based on the general version of the TC system. If the system will be upgraded or
customized, and the operation interface changes, please refer to the actual operation interface
Special Reminder: The system of CCWIN10SRB version has been customized. The user
interface is different from that of the general version. The operation method is described in detail in
Appendix 1
2.1 Basic Operations
Cloud Terminal has two accounts, “Administrator” and “Start”.
Account “Administrator” has all authorizations. For logging password, please consult your
administrator.
Account “Start” is auto logged in after power on and has no password.
2.1.1 Power On
After power on, you will see:

The start menu is as follows:
2.1.2 Sign Out
On the start menu, click the user avatar, Select “Sign Out”.

2.1.3 Restart
On the start menu, click the power button,
Select “Restart”.
2.1.4 Shut Down
There two ways to shut down:
1. On the start menu, click the power button, then select “Shut Down”.
2. Push the power button on the terminal chassis.
2.2 Basic Settings
2.2.1 System Time and Date
To change the system time and date, right click the time icon on the right corner of the task bar, and
select “Adjust time/date”.
Change time, date and time zone as you need according to the window.
The terminal supports synchronizing with internet times. To use this feature, set “Set time
automatically” to “On”.

To change internet time server, click “Additional data, time & regional settings” on the bottom, then
click “Set date and time” below “Date and Time”, the “Date and Time” dialog pops up, on the “Internet
Time” tab:
Click “Change Settings…” to change time server or update time:
2.2.2 Keyboard
The terminal has already installed US keyboard and Microsoft Pinyin input method, and users can add
other keyboards as needed.
Click on the input method icon on the right corner of the task bar to choose input method:

2.2.3 Network Settings
Right click on the network icon on the right corner of the task bar, then click “Open Network and
Sharing Center”, double click the network connection you desire to set, then double click “Internet Protocol
Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)”. On the “Internet Protocol V4(TCP/IPv4)” dialog, set appropriate IP address, Subnet
mask, Default gateway and DNS server, click “OK” to apply new settings.
After settings done, you can open “cmd”, use “ping” to check if the settings are correct.

2.2.4 Display Settings
Right click on the desktop, or click on the icon tray, select “Graphic Properties…”, then the
following window will pop up:
All display settings can be set on this window.
2.2.5 HDP Connection Settings
The terminal is fully compatible with HDP, and AccessClient is already installed. AccessClient will
automatically start after power on.
For the first time power on, the server address is required to set:

Input HDP server information on this window.
Multiple servers can be added on “Address Manager”:
Click correspondent button to changes your settings.
2.3 Manage Configuration
The terminal, in principle, was managed by the system administrator using unified remote control. Local
client also provide the management configuration function in order to provide convenient management for
the field maintenance engineer, so that the field maintenance engineer can configure some of the
configuration in the terminal.
Manage configuration entry: Right click the tray icon on the lower right corner of taskbar, click icon
（from the following instructions to enter）
Right click ，click menu entry【Manage Configuration】to open management configuration menu

Warning: All management configuration related menu items, need to verify the password,
management configuration password need to ask the IT Manager.

2.3.1 Manage Server Address Configuration
Click the【Server Address】from the management configuration menu, enter the following window：
This operation can set the cloud terminal management server address.

2.3.2 Protection Management
Cloud terminal uses Windows 10 system unique UWF Unified Write Filter protection mechanism, all
write operations on the system partition is actually written on the UWF overlay under this [Link]
the terminal restart or shutdown, the overlay data are cleared, and all write operations on the system partition
will be removed. It protects the system to ensure safe and reliable.
The cloud terminal realizes the management of the system protection through the protection
management module in the management configuration item.
Click the【Protection Management】from the management configuration menu, enter the protection
management interface：
As you can see, the protection management provides two operations：
Open System Protection：This function allows the administrator to open the protection of the system
disk in order to protect system.
Close System Protection：This function allows administrators to shut down the protection function of
the system disk. Administrator usually uses this function when installing programs or copying files. After the
configuration of the machine is completed, remember to open the system protection operation.
When the above operation is finished, the user is prompted to restart the computer for the
configuration changes to take effect.
2.3.3 Device Management
Cloud terminal has a rich peripheral interface, providing a variety of types of equipment access function.
The security management of these access devices can be done remotely via the TCM management tool or
through the peripheral security management interface provided by the local client.

All of the above access devices provide three options, the user system administrator can use the scene
according to the equipment and security needs to choose whether to allow access to certain types of
equipment, and read and write features.
You can also set up an exception device for access to a device type. It provides a great convenience for
user's application scenarios of the security and flexibility. The settings for the exception device are as
follows：

This chart shows that in the peripheral limit of all U disks, mobile hard disk and other restricted access
to the case. By adding an exception device, some type of Usbkey are allowed to access. Similar requirements
can be installed in this way.
Click on【Add】，the following interface appears：
Fill in the parameters of the associated device to add the exception to the list.

2.3.4 Power Strategy
The management configuration provides the power policy setting function, which is optimized for the
virtual desktop connection, providing the power management function in the virtual desktop application
scenario, and maximizing the user's security.

The management configuration provides manual upgrade function. User can update the system and TCM
Agent by this function.

Check the upgrade file (Patch\System), click on 【Download and Install】, you can download and install. The
download interface is as follows:
Clicking on the 【Empty state】button will clear the status list of the Upgrade file status, but tasks that are
currently being downloaded will not be canceled.

If the upgrade file list is empty, it means there is no patch need to be upgraded.
2.4 System Function
2.4.1 System Information
Press "Ctrl + Alt + I", then you can bring up the system information view window. Take ST5200
terminal V3.81.01 version as an example, the actual version number and its build number will be different：

2.4.2 Language Switch
The terminal has built-in English and Chinese language environment, and provide convenient Chinese
and English switch operation interface. English and Chinese switch function into the way: the bottom right
corner of the taskbar tray icon, select the TCM management client icon （from the following instructions
to enter）.
Right click on ,and select the menu item【Language Switch】to open the Manage Configuration
menu.
Select the desired language, the system will pop up a dialog box:

Recommendation: In order to ensure the regular use of the terminal, please confirm that
the system has exited all applications, including the HDP Client connection before switch
the system language.
Please select【OK】when the above window pops up.
2.4.3 Remote Assistance
If you encounter problems while using the cloud terminal locally, you can request remote assistance
from your system administrator. By sending a remote assistance request, the system administrator can be
reminded to respond in a timely manner so that the user can get help in a timely manner.
The way to enter: Look for the bottom right corner of the taskbar tray icon, select TCM management
client icon , right click on the , select the menu item【Remote Assistance】, click【Apply for Remote
Assistance】.
2.4.4 History Notice
Cloud terminal provides the function to view the local history notice. The notice issued by the server will be
saved, users can click【Last】or【Next】button on the history notification interface to view the notice issued by the
server.

3 Appendix 1
This chapter is applicable to ST5200. The system version is CCWIN10 SRB.
3.1 TC initialization
When the cloud desktop server is not configured, the boot interface is：
When TC is used for the first time, it is required to uniformly configure the cloud desktop server address
through the TCM (terminal management system). After the TC accesses the network controlled by the TCM, it
will automatically obtain the cloud desktop server address configured by the TCM. After obtaining the address
correctly, TC will automatically enter the cloud desktop login interface when it is powered on.

After entering the correct password, TC can return to the local desktop。
After entering the correct password, TC can return to the local desktop and configure the local system.
For specific functions and operations, see the operation guide in this user manual.
[Link] TC returns to the cloud desktop from the local desktop
Select "Restart" from the start menu of the TC local desktop. After the TC restarts, it will return to the
cloud desktop.
