How To Permanently Disable GM System PassLock

This document provides instructions for permanently disabling the PassLock locking system in GM vehicles. This includes locating the PassLock system wires, cutting one of the wires, and connecting a resistor between that wire and another to trick the system about the correct resistance. If the vehicle does not start the first time, a 10-minute relearning procedure must be performed for the system to relearn the new resistance. Once successfully completed, the connections should be soldered and

How to disable

permanently GM System
PassLock
John BainJuly 18, 2013Uncategorized
Purpose
The following instructions will allow you to disable PassLock security in a good way.
number of GM vehicles.

This will allow youinstalla remote startup system and not having to buy a
bypass.
Avoid costly repairs for a broken Pass Lock System.
Deactivate the locking system pass to prevent them from being abandoned in the future.
Requirements
A digital ohmmeter (optional)
T25 Screwdriver (optional)
crocodile clips (optional)
Screwdriver or other tools for removing interior panels
from 1/4" to 7 mm or Drive 9/32 and socket drivers

Procedure:
This tutorial varies depending on whether the ignition is located:
On the board near the radio

It is mounted on the steering column

If the ignition is on the dashboard, then you are going to remove the panels on the part
passenger lower (kick panel) of the dashboard. The BCM (Body Control Module) is there and
the cables we need to obtain as well.

If the ignition is located in the steering column, then you will remove the
kick panels on the driver's side of the dashboard and the shell around the
ignition held with torx screws.

For Cavalier and Sunfire owners, it's enough to remove the shell around the
ignition that is held with 3 screws.

Depending on the vehicle, we will be looking for the colors of 3 grouped wires.
they are any:

(Group 1) Red / White Yellow Black

(Group 2) Red / White Yellow Orange / Black
Remove the appropriate panels from the dashboard to access the wiring harness.
2. Locate the Pass Lock 2 cables, they will be coming out from the ignition or in the BCM.
They will be located in the gray connector, Pin A6 is the yellow wire and pin B6 will be a black wire.

5. Take your digital ohmmeter and place your negative probe on the black wire that
stripped back before. Place the positive probe on the yellow end of the cable that
take it back to the ignition. Use pliers to help you hold the probes to grab the wires.
6. With the probes connected, turn the ignition to the run position. Do not try to
really start the vehicle, it won't run anyway :). Read the reading of
