1 Introduction

This class was taught by Dr. Chen Yun at Shandong University.

it was very rewarding and interesting, as it presented the "Stimulus with a Needle".
It was fully translated by Prof. Reginaldo Filho who tirelessly was
always showing the location of the Acupuncture points to the students, so as not to
have doubts.
I was impressed with the concept that Prof. Regis has over there, it was one of these.
reasons that brought me more security and a lot of pride.
All our classes were taught by PhD professors in Medicine.
Chinese, both in Jinan (Shandong) and in Tianjin, were all attentive.
pleasant and helpful, even taking pictures with us at the end of each class. Today
I only feel longing and a strong desire to return to China, my thanks to Ebramec.

1.1 Stimulation with a Needle

A new theory in acupuncture practice, somewhat different from regular practice.

Systemic Acupuncture. One of the special characteristics of this technique is that it uses a
needle for stimulation. Just choose the right point, the correct manipulation, and the effect of
the treatment is quick and you can feel the effect at the time of application.
Within the practice of the system, we have 38 predefined points, which will be presented here.

some of the most important and commonly used:

1. 1.1 Acupuncture Points of Balancing:

1.2 - 1st Point: Extra (Shen Qi)

2 cm in front of VG20 (Baihui), horizontal needling, subcutaneous, in

anterior or posterior direction, depending on the treatment goal.

This point is along the route of the Governor's Vessel that controls, governs, and nourishes the

Body Yan Qi.

Insertion 1.5 to 2 cun. Remember that when the needle is along the channel.
tones and on the contrary disperses, when manipulating the needle the sensation is of

numbness, tingling or strain in the area.

The main indications for this acupuncture are where there is a sinking of Qi.
it is usually associated with medium heater deficiency.

The conditions that may be presented are:

Rectal prolapse, uterine prolapse or gastric ptosis, fatigue, discouragement.

Even when being healthy and feeling the Qi submerged, this technique is used in a
needle to boost Qi and continue performing activities.
3

1.3 Point for Low Back Pain:

A point located exactly in the center of the forehead.

Insertion of 1.5 to 2 cun, strong manipulation in dispersion and sensation of

tingling, stiffness or pain in the spinal region, acute injury in the lumbar region,
Sciatica. This extra point in the center of the forehead is on the path of the Governing Vessel, Canal

of Curious Energy Du Mai, which from the point VC1 (huìyīn) means gathering of the Yin,
go to point VG1 (chángqiáng), following the spine to the neck region.
That's why the stimulation with a needle at this extra point unclogs the
canal, benefiting the column and sciatic pain (pain radiating along the nerve
Sciatic, which travels one or both legs from the lumbar region.
4

1.4 Point for Acute or Chronic Gastritis:

Midpoint of the mandible, below the corner of the mouth, 1.5 cun down and 1 cun
to the corner of the mouth. The mouth measures 3 cun

An internal pathway of the energy channel of the Stomach (Wei) Yang Ming of the Foot,
descends through the face, penetrates the gums of the maxilla, contours the lips and goes to the

VC24 (Chengjiang), crossing point of the Ren Mai, Du Mai, and Stomach (Wei).

Indication: Ulcer, Gastrointestinal inflammation, Gastric Ulcer, Spasm

Diaphragmatic (strong solutions)

1.5 Point For The Vision

Point for the Vision:

Point corresponding to TA17 (Yifeng) Wind Protection

Location:

Behind the earlobe, between the branch of the jaw and the mastoid process, in
depression just above the palpable transverse process of the first cervical vertebra.

Fold the earlobe forward to reveal this point.

Oblique insertion, 45 degrees

Penetration of 1 to 1.5 cun, the ideal sensation for the patient to feel is discomfort.
numbness, local distension with radiation towards the face and the more you
spreading towards the face enhances the effect.

Indication: Apoplexy (Stroke) with sequelae to Hemiplegia.

The Energy Channel of the Triple Heater (SanJiao) is used in treatment of

afflictions of the temporal region, eyes, ears, throat, cervical and dorsal regions and
febrile diseases.
Point TA17 (Yifeng) is a meeting point of the Triple Heater channels.
(SanJiao) and Gallbladder (Dan). These two channels penetrate the ear and this is a
essential local point in the treatment of all auditory disorders, including tinnitus,
deafness, secretion, itching, redness, swelling, and pain.
It has the action of expelling external pathogenic wind and treating the manifestations of

internal wind, is widely used for Facial Paralysis resulting from Stroke
Cerebral or Bell's palsy, trigeminal neuralgia, spasm and trismus. Due to its action of
disperse heat and circulate the channel, TA17 (Yifeng) is also indicated for disorders
places such as Mumps, Scrofula, Swelling of the Cheek, and Toothache.

This point is usually located and needled with a closed hand in a way
relaxed.

Puncturing: Superficial on the same side of the pain, 1.5 to 2 cun in the direction of

arm

Recommendation:

Soft tissue injury and musculature of the neck region and Brachialgia,
Torticollis.
7

According to the Classic of Difficulties, the Ying Spring Points are

indicated for 'heat in the body'. The primary channel of the Pericardium (SanJiao) rises, both
for the back part as well as for the front part of the ear and also penetrates into the
ear; to the lower aspect of the eye and to the outer corner of the eye and through the
cheek
TA2 (Yemen) the Ying spring point and the water point of the Triple Heater channel
(SanJiao), therefore, is able to disperse heat from the upper ends of the channel of
ears (deafness, ringing, ear pain), eyes (redness, dryness, tearing) and
gums and teeth (pain and bleeding).
The Triple Heater (Sanjiao) is related to the interior-exterior perspective.
with the Pericardium (Xin Bao), the "external covering" of the heart, and TA2 (YèMén) is capable

to disperse the heat from the heart and spirit which manifests as palpitations, terror,
mania, delirium, and epilepsy.
