I am preparing for TCS Prime Exam, This is the complete syllabus for the Exam,

“Level 1: The Basics (Foundation)

• Number System: Start with the fundamentals of numbers, including LCM & HCF,
Divisibility Rules, and Decimal Fractions.
• Simplifications & Calculations: Practice speeding up your calculations with
rational and irrational numbers.
• Averages, Percentages, Ratios & Proportions: These three topicsA are the
backbone of quantitative aptitude. Understand them thoroughly.
Level 2: Applied Mathematics (Foundation & Intermediate)
• Profit & Loss: Apply your knowledge of percentages to solve these problems.
• Mixtures & Allegations: Use concepts of ratios and averages here.
• Simple & Compound Interest: Essential for the advanced section, build your
base here.
• Time, Speed & Distance: Start with basic formulas and then move to problems
involving trains, boats, and streams.
• Work & Time: Understand the relationship between workers, time, and work
completed.
Level 3: Advanced Concepts (Foundation & Advanced)
• Series & Progressions: Learn Arithmetic, Geometric, and Harmonic
progressions.
• Algebra: Focus on solving Linear and Quadratic Equations.
• Geometry & Trigonometry: Cover formulas for Area, Perimeter, Volume, and
basic trigonometric ratios and identities.
• Permutations & Combinations: Understand the principles of selection and
arrangement.
• Probability: Build upon your knowledge of permutations and combinations.
• Data Interpretation: Practice solving sets based on Tables, Bar Graphs, Pie
Charts, and Line Graphs. This requires a strong command of percentages and ratios.
• Clocks & Calendars: Learn the specific tricks and formulas for these topics.
Final Step: Practice high-difficulty problems across all topics to be ready for the
Advanced section.
Subject: Reasoning Ability (Foundation & Advanced)
Reasoning ability tests your logical and analytical skills. The advanced section
features more complex versions of the foundation topics.
Level 1: Foundational Logic
• Series: Master Number Series and Letter/Alphabetical Series.
• Blood Relations: Learn to draw family trees quickly and accurately.
• Direction Sense: Practice problems involving paths and directions.
• Basic Puzzles: Start with simple Linear and Circular Seating Arrangements.
• Logical Deduction: Understand the rules for Syllogisms and Statement &
Conclusion/Assumption problems.
Level 2: Visual and Analytical Reasoning
• Venn Diagrams: Learn to represent relationships between different groups.
• Data Sufficiency: Practice determining if the given data is sufficient to
answer a question.
• Visual/Spatial Reasoning: Focus on Cube Folding, Paper Cutting, and Folding
problems.
• Pattern Matching: Identify the odd one out, analogies, and symbols/notations.
Level 3: Advanced Reasoning
• Complex Seating Arrangements: Tackle puzzles with multiple variables (e.g.,
people, their professions, and their seating positions).
• Advanced Puzzles: Practice floor-based puzzles and other complex arrangement
problems.
• Meaningful Word Creation: Work on creating words from a jumble of letters.
Subject: Verbal Ability
This section is entirely in the Foundation part, but high proficiency is required.
Level 1: Building the Foundation
• Vocabulary: Start by learning Synonyms, Antonyms, and common idioms/phrases.
• Grammar Rules: Focus on Tenses, Parts of Speech, and Subject-Verb Agreement
to master Error Identification.
• Sentence Basics: Practice Fill in the Blanks and basic Sentence Completion.
Level 2: Application and Structure
• Sentence Transformation: Learn the rules for converting between
Active/Passive Voice and Direct/Indirect Speech.
• Sentence Structuring: Improve your skills in Sentence Reordering and Para
Jumbles.
Level 3: Comprehension
• Reading Comprehension: Practice reading passages and answering questions
related to the main idea, tone, and specific details. This is the most important
topic in this section.
Subject: Advanced Coding (Python & SQL Focus)
This is the most critical section for the Prime role. Follow this path to build
your coding skills from the ground up.
Level 1: Python Fundamentals
• Core Concepts: Master variables, data types, operators, loops, and
conditional statements in Python.
• Basic Data Structures: Get comfortable with Lists, Tuples, Dictionaries, and
Sets.
• Functions & Recursion: Learn to write functions and understand the concept of
recursion (e.g., for Factorial, Fibonacci).
Level 2: Core Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA)
• Arrays & Strings: This is the most frequently tested area. Practice problems
on searching, sorting, reversing, rotating, finding duplicates, palindromes, and
anagrams.
• Searching & Sorting Algorithms: Implement Linear Search, Binary Search,
Bubble Sort, Selection Sort, and Insertion Sort. Understand the time complexity of
each.
• Problem-Solving Techniques: Get familiar with the Two-Pointer and Sliding
Window techniques for array/string problems.
Level 3: SQL for Developers
• Basic Queries: Master SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY, GROUP BY, and HAVING.
• Joins: Practice INNER JOIN, LEFT JOIN, RIGHT JOIN, and SELF JOIN to combine
data from multiple tables.
• Subqueries: Learn to write nested queries to solve complex problems like
finding the Nth highest salary.
Level 4: Advanced DSA and Paradigms
• Intermediate Data Structures: Learn the theory and implementation of Stacks,
Queues, and Linked Lists.
• Algorithmic Paradigms:
• Greedy Algorithms: For optimization problems.
• Backtracking: For problems like N-Queens or finding paths in a maze.
• Dynamic Programming (DP): Start with classic problems like Longest Common
Subsequence or the Knapsack problem.
• Advanced Data Structures: Get a basic understanding of Trees and Graphs,
including traversals (In-order, Pre-order, Post-order, BFS, DFS).

Here’s the Plan:- for each subject or topic I will find the resources online to
study you will check the resource and find the missing topic from the resource
tutorial or notes, or blog post anything and tell me so that after finishing the
topic I will go for the missing topics and study it. You Will Solve my Doubt in
each step of this exam study.
Saturday-Sundays:- Are mostly focused on Python Coding and SQL Study and Practice
for the exam. Did you get the plan
