Course Description:- This course will introduce students to number systems, numerical error analysis, and the
solution of nonlinear equations. It will cover matrices, interpolation, approximation, numerical differentiation,
and integration, and will conclude with an introduction to the Finite Element Method (FEM) and Finite Difference
Time-Domain (FDTD) Method.
Course objective:-Students completing this subject should:-
✓ Understand fundamental mathematical modeling techniques.
✓ Apply different numerical methods for solving nonlinear equations.
✓ Solve systems of linear algebraic equations.
✓ Utilize interpolation and approximation techniques.
✓ Implement numerical differentiation and integration methods.
✓ Solve ordinary differential equations numerically.
✓ Gain an introduction to FEM and FDTD methods.
