Practical Excel Chart Questions

1. Enter the table above into Excel and create a bar chart to show the number of students
in each course.

2. Format the bar chart to:

o Add data labels

o Use a unique color for each bar

3. Change the bar chart to a horizontal bar chart.

4. Create a pie chart based on the data.

5. Format the pie chart to:

o Show percentages and values

o Add a chart title


6. Add a new course, Law, with 80 students, and update both charts to include the new
data.

7. Sort the course data by descending number of students, and make sure the bar chart
reflects the new order.

8. Change the pie chart to a 3D Pie Chart and apply a gradient color style.

9. Create a copy of the bar chart, and modify it to compare:

o Actual Enrollment vs. Target Enrollment (100 students for each course)

10. Add chart titles:

 For the bar chart: "Enrollment by Course"

 For the pie chart: "Enrollment Share by Course (%)"
