Project Requirement:
You are expected to conduct research based on course material. The aim of this report is for you
to analyze two different leadership styles by evaluating and comparing their pros and cons in a
contemporary business environment. Based on your research, you will benchmark/contrast a
local leader with the profile of a prominent international business leader. Your study should
focus on how the skills and attitudes of those two leaders played a major role in their success. In
addition, you will highlight each leader’s contributions to the achievement of any of the
17 UNSDG goals.
Objectives:
1. To give you the opportunity to apply the theory you’re learning in the Leadership course
to actual practice, with structure and guidance provided by your instructor and support
from your group and classmates.
2. To provide you with a thorough understanding of what it takes to become an effective
leader by comparing the leadership styles of your chosen local and foreign leaders—their
personality traits, mental models, emotional intelligence, communication style, etc.
3. To show you how leaders can help societies by promoting sustainability and taking
sustainable development initiatives.
4. A good project will demonstrate your clear understanding of leadership topics with an
in-depth analysis of effective leadership practices and an intelligent discussion about
improving leadership behavior. You can only achieve this through authentic teamwork,
meaningful discussions, your own words, added value, and creativity.
Evaluation:
You should demonstrate a clear and thorough understanding of important leadership concepts
and principles, and you must logically link them to the local and foreign leaders you choose as
references.
Important Notes:
• It is your responsibility (and that of all team members) to ensure the project is authentic
and high-quality by using your own words, adding value, and being creative.
• Use proper citations in your work.
• Submit your PowerPoint on Moodle before the due date provided by the instructor. For
late submissions, refer to the late-submission policy in the syllabus.
