High utility non-decodable words
High utility non decodable flashcards for the Tupu | Seedling phase. They
can be used in a variety of ways:
◊ Print them out and cut them up or laminate them.
◊ Enlarge them on a photocopier.
◊ Use them when teaching the words in your small-group reading time.
You can put them out on a table or the floor or hold them up for children
to read.
◊ Print enough flashcards to give each child their own set of cards at
small-group reading time.
◊ Send the words home so the children can practise learning and
remembering them.
Only send a few words each day to avoid overwhelming the children
and their whānau.
