Topic: Weeding
Tools Used: Hoe, rake, mulch

What I Did:
Today, I carried out weeding in the vegetable garden. I removed weeds manually using a hoe
and applied mulch around the plants to prevent new weed growth. I ensured that I pulled out
the weeds with their roots to reduce regrowth.

What I Learnt:
I learnt that controlling weeds is essential for crop growth because weeds compete with crops
for nutrients, water, and sunlight. Using mulch helps in preventing weed growth and
conserving soil moisture.

What I Observed:
I observed that areas where weeds were removed showed healthier crops. Mulched areas
retained moisture better and had fewer weeds compared to unmulched areas.
