2. Facts of the Case:
That On or about 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon of JULY 19, 2024, at Purok 2,
Legarda Road, Baguio City, Benguet, Atompag, Zyver M. of legal age and
resident of said place personally reported about the robbery that transpired
inside their house, while the suspect was later identified as Ton Irvin B. Coralles, 23
yrs. old and also a resident of said barangay while the latter's is about to secure
the padlock of his house gate wherein he notices the suspect fleeing the window
of his house carrying a unidentified bag with him. After such, he rushed to check
his belongings and he was able to identify his brown belt bag was missing
containing Three hundred thousand pesos (P300, 000.00).
3. Initial investigation of this station revealed that the suspect named Ton
Irvin B. Coralles, forcibly opened the window of the latter's master’s bedroom and
stole a brown belt bag containing money amounting to three hundred thousand
pesos (P300, 000.00)

PURPOSE OF LABORATORY EXAMINATION: For fingerprint Identification, to determine
whether or not the questioned patent print is identical to the standard patent print
found at the crime scene.
FINDINGS: The first questioned patent print marked as “R.T.L-07-19-24-5:27 PM” is
identical with the right middle finger, the fingerprint appearing on the specimen
marked as “F6”, as the Left Thumb shows eleven (12) similar ridge characteristics.
CONCLUSION: The questioned patent print marked” R.T.L-07-19-24-5:27PM was
impressed by the Left Thumb of Ton Irvin B. Corrales whose standard fingerprints appear
on the specimen marked “F6”.
REMARKS: The two (2) specimens are both identified and verified. A copy of a report is
given to the requesting party for its purpose. The original copy of the report will be
retained in this laboratory for future reference.

I, IREL P. LIMBAWAN, of legal age, married, and with address at #247 St. Padre
Zamora Street, Baguio City, is executed to serve as his direct testimony in the
instant case. This Judicial Affidavit is offered to prove:
1. All the allegations in the case of robbery.
2. Including all the ANNEXES appended thereto, which she respectfully
requests to be correspondingly marked as EXHIBITS in this case; and
3. All matters related thereto, with reservation to present additional exhibits in
the course of the proceedings of the instant case.
QUESTIONS were put forward by the plaintiff’s counsel, Atty. Del Pintor Mark
Kian y in English, which the affiant can speak and understand.
Q1: What is your current occupation?
A: I am working as a Fingerprint Examiner at the UC-LEGARDA POLICE OFFICE-
CRIME LABORATORY, BAGUIO CITY.
Q2: At what school did you finish your studies and further forensics training?
A: I finished both my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Master's Degree in
Criminal Justice at the University of the Cordilleras, Baguio City. I obtained my
Forensic Fingerprint examination training at the National Bureau of Investigation
Academy.
Q3: Where are you presently employed?
A: At UC-LEGARDA POLICE OFFICE-CRIME LABORATORY, BAGUIO CITY.
Q4: For how long have you been employed in the LCPO-Crime Laboratory?
A: I have been practicing for almost ten years, sir.
Q5: What are your duties and responsibilities as a Forensic Examiner?
A: My duties and responsibilities are.
1. Checking on the ten-print database and Latent to print inquiries. The latent
print database is used to check if the arrested suspect had committed a
previous crime.
2. Checking if the collected latent print will match with another unsolved
case.
3. Verifications of the fingerprint and latent prints which are stored on storage
disk.
4. Evaluate and review reports of forensic examiners.
5. Checking if the collected latent print will match with another unsolved
case.
6. Conducts research works, lectures, trainings and seminars on forensic
examination, particularly on fingerprint examination.
7. Appear and testify in courts and other quasi-judicial bodies as an expert
technical witness.
Q6: In the past, have you been qualified to testify as an expert?
A: Yes sir.
Q7: Have you conducted examinations on several fingerprint evidence before?
A: Yes sir.
Q8: Where are you currently assigned?
A: UC-LEGARDA POLICE OFFICE-CRIME LABORATORY, BAGUIO CITY.
Q9: What position do you currently hold?
A: Fingerprint examiner sir.
Q10: When were you assigned on March 12, 2018?
A: UC-LEGARDA POLICE OFFICE-CRIME LABORATORY, Baguio City, sir.
Q11: What is the purpose of the document you have prepared?
A: The document is the report of the examination that I have conducted which
was requested by the Chief of Police of the UC Legarda Police Station 5 in
relation to a latent print that their investigation team developed and lifted and
to present it as evidence when required by the court.
Q12: What pieces of evidence did you receive in this case?
A: I received one (1) questioned latent fingerprint and one standard ten print
from the Investigator-on-case, PEMS Renzee T. Laosantos.
Q13: May you please explain to the court your conclusion as it appears in that
report?
A: Analysis, comparison, and physical examination of the questioned latent print
marked “R.T.L-07-19-24” and standard fingerprint marked “R.T.L-07-19-24”
revealed that both prints are identical.
Q14: What is your basis for these findings; briefly explain the principles and/or
procedures for arriving at such conclusion?
A: The questioned latent print submitted was initially examined whether if it is
suitable for examination. Analysis resulted that it is fit for comparison and
examination was conducted between the questioned latent print marked
“R.T.L-07-19-24” and the standard fingerprint marked “R.T.L-07-19-24”. The
comparison and physical examination of the prints with the use of a magnifying
glass revealed that the fingerprint pattern and its unique characteristics are
identical. Also, the ridge details of the same kind with the same location and
face the direction and position. Furthermore, twelve (12) identical ridge details
were identified and the number of intervening ridge/s between them is
identical.
Q15: With that result, what is your conclusion in relation to the case?
A: Questioned latent print marked “R.T.L-07-19-24” was impressed by the Left
thumb of one Ton Irvin. B. Corrales whose standard fingerprint appears on the
ten-print card.
Q16: Are you confident in the conclusions you have presented to this court?
A: I am very confident sir.
