Liturgy of the Word
FIRST READING
Wisdom 3:1-9
Reading of the Book of Wisdom
The life of the righteous is in the hands of God,
and no torment will reach them.
In the eyes of the foolish, they seem to have died:
your departure from the world was considered a disgrace
and its departure from among us, a destruction;
but they are at peace.
In the eyes of men, they seem to have been punished,
but your hope is full of immortality;
having undergone minor corrections,
will be accumulated from large assets,
because God tested them and found them worthy of Himself.
They are tested as gold is tested in the fire
and he accepted them as offerings of holocaust;
on the day of your judgment shall shine,
running like sparks among the straw;
they will judge the nations and dominate the peoples,
And the Lord will reign over them forever.
Those who trust in him will understand the truth,
and those who persevere in love will stay with him,
because grace and mercy are for His elect.
Word of the Lord.
Everyone: Thank God!
X Feast of Saint Tarcisius 7
RESPONSORIAL PSALM
(Psalm 45)
He who sows among tears will reap among smiles!
When the Lord restored our captives,
we seemed to dream;
our mouth was filled with a smile,
our lips of songs.
2. Among the Gentiles it was said:
The Lord has done wonders with them!
Yes, the Lord has done wonders with us,
let's rejoice with joy!
3.Guide our luck, O Lord,
like torrents in the desert.
Those who sow the seeds with tears,
they will feast with joy.
4.Crying from sadness they will leave,
spreading your seeds;
singing with joy they will return,
loading your beams!
ACCLAMATION TO THE GOSPEL
1. Sing Hallelujah to the Lord! (2x) Sing Hallelujah, sing Hallelujah! Sing

does not die, it continues just a grain of wheat;
but if it dies, it produces much fruit.
Whoever clings to their life will lose it;
but who pays little attention
of your life in this world,
He will keep it for eternal life.
If anyone wants to serve me, follow me,
and where I am, there my servant will be also.
If anyone serves me, my Father will honor him.

EUCHARISTIC PRAYER III
Preface: The testimony of martyrdom
The Lord be with you!
Everyone: He is among us.
Heads up!
Everyone: Our heart is in God.
We give thanks to God.
All: It is our duty and our salvation.
the truth, is fair and necessary,
it is our duty and salvation
to give thanks, always and everywhere,
Lord, Holy Father,
Eternal and all-powerful God.
By the martyr Saint Tarcisius,
who confessed your name
and poured out his blood like Christ,
you manifest your admirable power.
Your mercy
sustains human fragility
and gives us courage
to be the witnesses
of Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord.
While we await eternal glory,
with all your angels and saints,
we acclaim you,
singing with one voice:
At the end, join hands, together with the choir and the assembly, sing the Sanctus. Then
with open arms says:
Indeed, you are holy, O God of the universe,
and everything you have created proclaims your praise,
because of Jesus Christ,
your Son and our Lord,
and by the power of the Holy Spirit,
12 Archdiocese of Belém
gives life and holiness to all things
and you do not cease to gather your people,
so that you may offer everywhere,
from dawn to dusk,
a perfect sacrifice.
All: Sanctify and gather your people!
Therefore, we beseech you:
sanctified by the Holy Spirit
the offerings that we present to you
to be consecrated,
in order to become
the Body and the Blood of Jesus Christ,
your Son and our Lord,
who commanded us to celebrate this mystery.
All: Sanctify our offering, O Lord!
On the night it was to be delivered,
He took the bread,
he gave thanks,
and he left
and gave to his disciples,
saying:
TOMAI, EVERYONE, AND EAT:
THIS IS MY BODY,
WHICH WILL BE DELIVERED BY YOU.
In the same way,
at the end of the dinner,
he took the chalice in his hands,
he gave thanks again,
and he gave it to his disciples,
saying:
I DRINK, EVERYONE, AND I DRINK:
THIS IS THE CUP OF MY BLOOD,
THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT,
X Festival of Saint Tarcisius 13
WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR ALL
FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS.
DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.
Here is the mystery of faith!
Every time we eat this bread
and we drink from this chalice,
we announce, Lord, your death,
while we wait for your arrival!
Celebrating now, O Father,
the memory of your Son,
from your passion that saves us,
of your glorious resurrection
and from his ascension to heaven;
and while we await your new coming,
we offer you in thanksgiving
this sacrifice of life and holiness.
All: Receive, O Lord, our offering!
Pres.: Look kindly upon the offering of your Church,
recognize the sacrifice
that reconciles us with you
and granted that, nourishing ourselves
with the Body and the Blood of your Son,
let us be filled with the Holy Spirit
and we become in Christ
one body and one spirit.
All: Make us one body and one spirit!
May he make us a perfect offering.

in your presence.
All: Make us a perfect offering!
And now, we beseech You, O Father,
that this sacrifice of our reconciliation
extend peace and salvation to the whole world.
Confirm in faith and charity your Church,
while walking in this world:

Songs of Communion
Hymn of Saint Tarcisius
You had no fear of the oppressors, and you brought the Living Bread to the Christians,
hosts, indeed, you hid in your garments, not allowing other hands to touch!
For ferocious pagans mistreated with stones of vile disaffection, in
innocence and in peace buried, yet uniting you to the passion of the Lord.
