The Contract

The contract is a text, usually written, that establishes mutual consensus between two or more.
individuals or entities, in which each party submits to certain obligations and enjoys
certain rights. In case of non-compliance, it will serve as legal assurance to the injured party.

Although it can never exceed the law, there is the principle of contractual freedom, that is, each one
the grantors have the freedom to establish the conditions of the contract.

There are several circumstances in people's lives where the establishment of


contracts, which makes their types diverse: promise contract, adhesion contract, contract
lease, purchase and sale agreement, service contract, employment contract,
marriage contract, credit agreement...

Features of linguistic register

o use of formal record;

o use of clear, objective, and denotative vocabulary (to enable the correct interpretation of
clauses);

resort to specific words or expressions (grantor, contracting party, contractor, clause, term,
celebration, compliance/non-compliance...)

o phrasing construction in the third person singular or plural (depending on the number of grantors)
of the contract).

Contract structure

o Opening (denomination of the type of contract and identification of the involved parties, that is, of
grantors);

o Chaining (contract conditions expressed through contractual clauses);

o Closing (place and date where the contract was signed and signatures of the grantors duly
recognized).

b) complete a reading form for each of the works read;
c) orally present the book(s) to the class and share with classmates your reading experiences;
d) exchange ideas with classmates about the readings carried out, in the form of oral interventions,
spontaneous or requested, or promoted debates;
e) to plan, together with the first signatory, the oral presentation of the works read and other activities
arising from the performance of the contract.

THIRD
The first grantor has the right to:
a) create a reading sheet about a book you liked and want to share;
b) invite authors (when possible) to visit the school.

FOURTH
The second grantor has the right to:
a) choose books from the proposed list and suggest new titles.

Fifth
The failure by the second signatory shall result in:
a) the percentage of the evaluation allocated to the fulfillment of the contract shall be assigned a rating of O (zero).

SIXTH
The non-compliance by the first signatory determines that:
a) the second grantor is released from fulfilling the contract;
b) the percentage of the evaluation corresponding to the fulfillment of the contract shall be distributed among all the

evaluation elements.
