APPLICATIONS OF COMPUTER GRAPHICS

The opportunities offered today by graphic applications regarding the

manipulation, editing, and creation of images have turned them into
essential on any computer platform.

It can be observed that computer graphics or animation can be

Special effects in movies and television.

Video games.
Scientific visualization.
Medical visualization.
Industrial design.
Simulation.
Communication, etc.

Applications:

Computer-aided design.

This method, also generally referred to as CAD (Computer Assisted

Design) is now commonly used for the design of constructions,
automobiles, aircraft, vessels, spacecraft, computers, even
fabrics and many products.

Normally, application software packages for CAD offer the

designers a multi-window environment; these various windows

These software packages are primarily aimed at the field of
architecture. They offer designers many tools of symbology
to be able to create realistic models of their constructions.

In addition to presenting realistic facade deployments, the CAD packages

Computer art.

Artists use a variety of computational methods, including

hardware for special purposes, artistic paint brush programs of the
artist (like Lumena), other paint packages (likePixelPaintySuperPaint,
software developed specifically, symbolic mathematics packages
(comoMathematica)CAD packages, electronic editing software of
publications and animation packages that provide the means for
design object shapes and specify object movements.

There are other programs likePaintbrush(paintbrush) that allows the

artists "paint" images on the screen of a video monitor. In reality, the

scanner) using a stylus, which can simulate different strokes,
brush widths and colors.

Creators of fine arts use various computing technologies to

produce images. For the purpose of creating paintings, the artist uses a
combination of three-dimensional modeling packages, layout of the
texture, drawing programs and CAD software.

Entertainment

Nowadays, it is very common to use computer graphics methods to

produce movies, music videos, and television shows.
on occasions, only graphic images are displayed and other times, they are combined with the

objects with the actors and live scenes. For example, in a scene

form of framework the planet and the spaceship and are shaded with methods of
presentation for producing solid surfaces. Just as they can appear
figures in the form of a frame combined with actors and a live scene.
Music videos make use of graphics in many ways, they can
combine graphic objects with live action, or techniques can be used to
image processing to produce a transformation of a person or
an object into another (this effect is known as morphing).

Education and training

They are often used as educational aid instruments for models of

physical, financial, and economic systems, which are generated by
computer. Models of physical systems, physiological systems, trends of
population or team, can help students understand the
system operation. In the case of some training applications, it
they design special systems, such as simulators for sessions of
training or preparation for ship captains, pilots, operators of
heavy equipment and air traffic control personnel. Some simulators do not
they have video screens; for example, a flight simulator that only has a
control panel as a flight instrument. However, most of the
simulators have graphical screens for visual operation.
Visualization

they need to analyze large amounts of information or study the
behavior of certain processes. The numerical simulations carried out in
supercomputers frequently produce data files that contain
miles and sometimes millions of data values. Tracking these large
sets of numbers to determine trends and relationships is a process
tedious and ineffective. Once the data is converted to a visual form, it is
It is common to immediately perceive trends and patterns. For the
regular, the production of graphical representations for data sets and
scientific processes of engineering and medicine is known as visualization
scientific. Color coding is just one way to visualize a set
data. Additional techniques include sketches, graphs, and diagrams of
contour, surface presentations and interior volume visualization.
In addition, image processing techniques are combined with graphics by
computer to create many of the data visualizations. The
communities of mathematicians, physicist scientists and others use visual techniques
to analyze mathematical functions and processes or just for the purpose of

Graphical User Interfaces

Nowadays, software packages offer a graphical interface.

windows that make it possible for a user to deploy areas with windows

contain graphic and non-graphic deployments. The interfaces also display

view and by using graphic applications our brain perceives better the
information. In a way, it makes tasks easier for man.
