Evangelism and its concepts
This material is focused on direct and practical learning as evangelism is a
duty of every Christian, since if there is no evangelism we do not fulfill the mandate of
our Lord recorded in the gospel of Saint Mark 16:15. "And He said to them: Go into all the
world and preach the gospel to every creature
In San Marcos, the word that is recorded is 'Id', which is a mandate that
It literally means 'Going', in a few words we can translate 'To be
permanently in the word of evangelism
Also in 2 Timothy 4:5, the apostle Paul urges the young Timothy and says the following:
But you be sober in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your
ministry
Taking the two commandments that were inscribed from Mark and 2 Timothy we realize
It tells us that our Lord urges us to bring Good News of Salvation.
Nowadays, when the world is shocking and at our University of El Salvador there is
palpable need for God, the voice of the Holy Spirit continues to resonate 'That you preach the
word... in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2).
Which Gospel?
The word Gospel appears 72 times in the NT and 54 of them are found in the
escrituras del Apóstol Pablo. Ejemplos: Romanos 1:16; 2:16; 15:19; Gálatas 1:11; Efesios
1:13; 6:15; and others.
The Greek term for Gospel is 'EVANGUELION' and originally denotes a
reward, later the idea of reward disappeared and the word came to denote
GOOD NEWS or JOYFUL NEWS, plus the meaning in Hebrew is
"PROCLAIMING GOOD NEWS", or "BRINGING NEWS OF VICTORY" in the LXX
In Isaiah 52:7-9 and 49:9 we find the same idea of this meaning.
The ancient Greeks used the word EVANGUELION to mean 'GOOD NEWS'
NEWS, from the battlefield, the news could arrive by means of ships, horses, to
foot, and it was proclaimed by the road, the field, and the city.

But the main question is, which GOSPEL?
In recent years, many cults have emerged, which come out to proclaim their
doctrine, laws and ordinances of man, but without the true meaning of salvation and
more so of the character who can save their immortal souls from the flames of hell and
trying to distort the true message of salvation in its content and purity
Corinthians 11:3-6) For this reason we need to know four basic points taken from it.
Bible, unaltered and real in the life of every human being.
FOUR STEPS OF SALVATION:
1. Acknowledge that we are sinners
The problem of man is Sin and being at peace is not automatic because for
nature separates us from sin.
Romans 3:9
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
1 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
2. The consequence of sin

3. The remedy of God

at the proper time.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

4. The man's response: Believe, Repent and accept it.
These three things allow man to cross that bridge and be with God forever.
Acts 3:19
But to al who received him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
Romans 10:9
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
The person must accept Christ as Lord in order to be able to accept God's forgiveness.
Salvador person must do four things:
A. Admit: Your spiritual need 'I am a sinner.'
B.Repentance: To have the intention to abandon sin.
C. Creer: To believe that Jesus died on the cross for him.

D. Receive: Jesus Christ as Lord in your heart and in your life, through faith
in Him. The prayer of faith.
These elements are for the sinner to understand that they are being spoken of the gospel.
of redemption.
The profession of faith must have a model for the evangelization of the unconverted. Prayer.
the penitent is important as it helps him to confess with his mouth and testify
publicly that he is receiving Jesus.
The model of the prayer should be based on the Bible as it is made, not by force, but
voluntarily. This prayer must be made with faith for salvation, believing from the heart.
and not as a simple prayer.
We need to take into account certain things and these are the following: that the person who gives
the message must be aware of the message it is conveying and that it does not do so to have
fame or presenting an ideology, moral concept, philosophy, or politics but he or she

WHO CARRIES IT?
When we have to confront the message of the Gospel for salvation, many believe
that others have the responsibility, but, really, even the angels cannot announce this.

the character itself is THE CHRISTIAN. When the christian conveys the message of the
GOSPEL becomes EVANGELIST.
The evangelist must have:
A relationship with Christ.
Daily Bible Reading.
Memorized Biblical Texts.
Guidance of the Holy Spirit.

JESUS IS OUR GREATEST EXAMPLE OF EVANGELISM
Jesus is for us the best example of sharing His message, it is amazing that even in
the bloody cross will win a soul for Him. (Luke 23: 29-43).
Some say that Charles H. Spurgeon, a 19th-century preacher who was called

HOW TO OVERCOME FEARS?
Fear in humans is natural, but there are different kinds of fears in presenting the
Message of salvation. The types of fears are as follows:
Fear of rejection.
Fear of ridicule.
Fear of failure.
Fear of physical attacks.
5. Fear of being a hypocrite.
Fear of not knowing what to say.
7. Fear of not knowing how to react to the other person.
Fear of trying something new and strange.
9. Fear of not answering a question from the other person.
10. Fear of getting into other people's private lives.
11. Fear of the unknown.
12. Fear that our fear will become evident.
Fear that the gospel will not be effective.
14. Fear of not feeling worthy to present the message of salvation.
Fear of saying something that is wrong.
We can overcome these fears with what is said in the word of God.
In 2 Timothy 1:7 it says: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of three
very important aspects:
A. Power: The word 'power' here denotes the Greek 'Dunamis' which means
Dynamite. It is the power of operation and it is the same power as Acts 1:19.
B. Love: Not the love of man, but the love of God, the Agape that makes us.
understand that people need that love to move forward and we
understand them.
C. Self-Domain: In the original, it refers to personal discipline, this means that
we have the duty to be constant in the things of the Lord and in this case
evangelism.

This portion, if we meditate on it and scrutinize it every day, will serve to destroy the
barriers of fear, but we must understand that the first thing to do is to act and let ourselves
led by the Holy Spirit.
