Job title: ReactJS Developer
Job Description: Zoolarity Inc is currently looking for a ReactJS developer. This role
will be working hand-in-hand with a startup team of agile developers that are creating
exciting solutions in compliance-heavy industries, including Alcohol, Tobacco, Cannabis,
etc. This role will collaborate with other senior application specialists in the organization
to create an atmosphere of group contribution in addition to individual execution that
makes the organization more efficient and knowledgeable.
The Developer is responsible for development of the e-commerce platform, from
frontend, to implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance. The ideal candidate
is someone who will excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and who is also an
all-around team player. The person will need to work with colleagues at all levels of the
organization and must be comfortable gathering and organizing information that
translates into usable requirements.
Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into
responsive, interactive React components.
● Build and maintain single-page applications using [Link], leveraging hooks,
context, and modern ES6+ features.
● Consume RESTful APIs (or GraphQL) to fetch and display data, and handle
loading & error states gracefully.
● Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code with attention to performance
and accessibility.
● Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
● Troubleshoot, debug and optimize front-end performance across browsers and
devices.
● Write unit tests for components (e.g., using Jest and React Testing Library).
● Stay up to date with emerging React ecosystem best practices and libraries.
Skills:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or
equivalent practical experience).
● Experience with React Router for client-side routing.
● Familiarity with state-management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or Context
API).
● Exposure to TypeScript in a React project.
● Knowledge of CSS preprocessors (Sass, Less) or CSS-in-JS solutions
(styled-components, Emotion).
● Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+): variables, promises/async-await,
modules.
● Hands-on experience (academic projects or internships) building React
applications.
● Familiarity with React core concepts: JSX, component lifecycle (or equivalent
using hooks), state & props.
● Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox/Grid layouts; responsive design
principles.
● Understanding of REST APIs and how to integrate them in a frontend app.
● Ability to read and write Git commands and work with version control workflows.
● Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
