This unit focuses on hobbies, free-time activities, and Is/Are + Subject + Adjective?

1. Main Vocabulary (Hobbies and Activities)
o "Is the street long?"

📘 GRAMMAR
The grammar of this unit is about talking about
hobbies using “like to” + verb and expressions of
frequency.
1. Formula with "like to"
We use like + to + base verb to express hobbies or
interests.
Formula:
✅ Subject + like(s) + to + base verb
Examples:
I like to play soccer.
She likes to draw.
They like to collect comic books.
⚠️Important:
With he, she, it, we add -s to “like” → He
likes / She likes.
With I, you, we, they, we use “like” → I like /
They like.
2. Negative form
We use don’t like / doesn’t like.
Formula:
✅ Subject + don’t/doesn’t + like + to + base verb
Examples:
I don’t like to play volleyball.
He doesn’t like to do origami.
3. Questions with "Do you like to…?"
We use Do/Does + subject + like to + base verb?
Formula:
✅ Do/Does + subject + like to + base verb … ?
Examples:
Do you like to play music? → Yes, I do. / No, I
don’t.
Does she like to draw? → Yes, she does. / No,
she doesn’t.
4. Expressions of Frequency
We combine frequency words with “like to.”
Formula:
✅ Subject + like(s) + to + base verb + frequency.
✅ Subject + frequency + like(s) + to + base verb.
Examples:
I like to play soccer once a week.
She often likes to play video games.
We never like to do karate.
5. Talking About When You Do Things
We can also talk about the time/day.
Formula:
✅ Subject + like(s) + to + base verb + time expression.
Examples:
I like to play volleyball on Mondays.
He likes to play guitar after school.
