Statement of Purpose
The Cybersecurity threats are skyrocketing in today’s digital era, while Artificial
intelligence is rapidly transforming the future of technology. My long-term vision is to
establish a company that integrates AI with Cybersecurity to build the next-generation
defense solutions. I look forward to working alongside the foremost scientist and professor
at the University of Duisburg and learn from them.
I am inspired by Dr. Lucas Vincenzo Davi and his research group’s project, “Fuzz on the
Beach: Fuzzing Solana Smart Contracts”. This initiative’s goal of developing FuzzDelSol,
that tackles Solana’s unique account structure and detects bugs in the Solana Virtual
Machines. This type of applied, forward-thinking research is precisely what I aspire to
contribute to in my future studies. I want to pursue a master’s in Computer Engineering
because its flexibility closely aligns my research interests. The rigorous curriculum will
provide the specialized knowledge in computer science, which enables me to excel and feel
confident in my skills. Moreover, this program will also develop my research capabilities,
necessary for identifying a market-fit product before launching my own ventures.
My undergraduate degree in Information Science and Engineering gave me a solid
foundation in network security, programming, algorithms, and data structures. I also gained
practical experience in Python, machine learning, and cloud computing through my
Internships and Projects. I developed a particular interest in offensive and defensive
security, realizing that true protection requires a deep understanding of vulnerabilities. This
interdisciplinary approach will be invaluable for my graduate studies. These technical
skills, combined with deeper knowledge I aim to acquire through my master’s, will be
invaluable in conducting advanced research and contributing to future projects
Beyond academics, I actively developed leadership skills. During my first year of college,
I became a member of the Science Association club and, within a year, was elected Head
of the Technical Department. My peers valued my confidence, punctuality, and ability to
take initiative, which earned me their trust and support. Leading this role not only
strengthened my leadership and people management abilities while also gave me hands-on
experience in event planning and execution. I successfully initiated and organized major
technical events such as a DevOps Bootcamp, an AIML Hackathon, and a quiz
competition, all of which were well-received and impactful. While my passion for technical
execution often led me to handle tasks myself, I recognize the need to improve my ability
to delegate effectively and empower my team members a skill I hope to hone through the
collaborative projects in this program.
I believe I am a good leader because I naturally take initiative, communicate clearly, and
create an environment where others feel motivated to contribute their best. My experience
as Head of the Technical Department taught me how to manage people, resolve conflicts,
and lead teams toward a common goal. At the same time, I recognize that leadership is not
about authority but about responsibility and the ability to listen and learn from others.
Alongside this, I contributed as a backend developer for the club’s website, further
enhancing my technical skills. By my third year, the blend of leadership experience and
technical exposure inspired me to envision my own technology-based startup. This
aspiration ultimately motivated me to pursue a master’s degree, where I aim to deepen my
knowledge and refine my expertise to transform such ideas into reality.
In addition to the academic advantages, I believe that certain aspects of German society
could serve as a valuable model for India. The German "social market economy," for
example, is a system that successfully blends a competitive market with social welfare,
fostering both innovation and a more equitable society. I am also fascinated by German
advancements in Industry 4.0, which uses smart automation and cyber-physical systems to
optimize manufacturing. I believe this technology could be a powerful tool for modernizing
India's industrial sector and improving efficiency. I would be particularly interested in
visiting companies like SAP and Siemens, which are global leaders in enterprise software
and industrial automation, respectively, to better understand how these technologies are
developed and applied in a real-world context.
