1. Introduction
In today’s world, people face several challenges in managing their health efficiently. Many
struggle to access essential medical records swiftly in emergencies and lack organized storage
for family health information. Limited access to healthcare professionals, especially in rural
areas, leaves many without timely support, while poor connectivity can further restrict access to
health resources. Forgetting medication schedules and appointments is common, as is difficulty
communicating complete health histories to doctors. Additionally, many individuals lack
awareness of health risks and preventive measures, along with local healthcare services that
could assist them. With the added need for after-hours support and proactive health monitoring,
these issues collectively highlight the demand for a comprehensive, user-friendly solution.

Some apps are currently being used solving limited problems like Ada Health provides symptom
checking and health advice but lacks comprehensive medical record storage and offline
functionality, which our app includes. Marham offers online consultations and doctor
appointments yet doesn’t support family health management or offline record access. Oladoc
focuses on doctor appointments and video consultations but does not offer offline data access or
AI-driven preventive insights. Healthwire enables appointment booking and medication
purchases but lacks organized, centralized family health management and preventive health
insights based on medical history.

Our app overcomes these limitations by offering offline access to family medical records,
organized multi-member health management, preventive health insights powered by AI, tailored
reminders for each family member’s medications and appointments, and nearby healthcare
resources based on location. Together, these features make our app a comprehensive tool for
proactive and well-organized health management across various environments.

2. Problem Statement
In today’s fast-paced world, individuals struggle to maintain a cohesive and easily accessible
record of their medical history. Without a centralized system for organizing health data, critical
information often becomes fragmented across multiple locations. This leads to challenges in
tracking medical progress, increases in the likelihood of redundant treatments, and potential
oversights in family health records. There is a need for a solution that not only manages health
records but also assists users in preliminary health assessments.

3. Proposed Solution
This application aims to solve the problem by providing:

✓ Health Record Management: A user-friendly interface for storing personal and

family health documents, including reports, prescriptions, and appointment details.
✓ AI Doctor Assistant: An interactive AI feature that analyzes symptoms entered by
the user and provides advice on possible treatments or further medical actions.
✓ Secure Storage: SQLite will be used for secure, on-device storage of user data, while
a Node.js backend will manage AI processes and external data interactions, ensuring data
privacy and integrity.
✓ Location-Based Health Services: Include a locator for nearby healthcare services,
pharmacies, and emergency care, supporting users in accessing healthcare resources
when traveling or in unfamiliar areas.
✓ Offline Access to Medical Records: Unlike most apps, our app allows users to
securely store and access family medical records offline, making it ideal for areas with
limited internet connectivity.

4. Objectives

• To share selected records with healthcare professionals, improving continuity of care.

• To Provide a streamlined way for users to store, update, and organize medical records for
each family member.
• To Enable rapid retrieval of medical records for quick reference during doctor visits or
emergencies.
• To allow users to input symptoms and receive possible causes, advice, or recommended
actions.
• To offer reminders for doctor appointments, medication schedules, and regular check-
ups.
• To ensure that key information is accessible offline to support users with limited internet
connectivity.
5. Existing Apps:

• Marham – Offers online consultations and doctor appointments but lacks a family
health management system and offline access to health records.
Oladoc – Primarily focused on doctor appointments and video consultations without offline
health data access or AI-driven preventive insights.
• HealthWire – Allows booking appointments and purchasing medications but lacks
organized, centralized family health management and detailed preventive health insights
based on medical history.
• Ada Health – Offers an AI-powered symptom checker and health guidance, though it
doesn’t include comprehensive medical record storage for families or offline
functionality.

6.Methodology
Our approach will utilize agile methodologies to allow for iterative improvements and user
feedback throughout development. Key phases include:
a) Requirements Gathering: Identify specific user needs and app requirements.
b) Design Phase: Develop wireframes and user interface designs to ensure seamless
functionality.
c) Development: Frontend (React Native), backend (Node.js), and database (SQLite) will be
built and integrated.
d) Testing and Quality Assurance: Comprehensive testing will verify data security,
functionality, and usability.
e) Deployment: The final app will be launched in play store with user onboarding support.
