HOMETOWN

1. Are you from a big city or a small town? I was born and raise in Bảo Lộc. it’s a small
towm in Lâm Đồng province with slightly more than 1 million people. It has
breathtaking( đẹp mê hồn) view of picturesque landscapes with rolling mountains
and greenish lakes.
2. Please describe your hometown a little? My hometown is both traditional and
modern. On the one hand, tradition is preserved by a number of festivals celebrated
by local people such as: silk and tea festival often is held on December. On the other
hand, a whole lot of high-rise buildings as residential places or shopping malls are
built, which turns our little hometown into a worth-living pla.
3. silk and tea festivals are held so that people can visit beautiful silk samples and enjoy

different types of tea. Besides, it is also an opportunity for businesses to exchange .

4. What do you like about your hometown? I like the hospitality and the love of
people there which I hardly find them in my current place. Everyone is living close
together and willing to give others a hand when they need help. especially I like the
weather here because it is neither too cool nor too hot.
5. . Is there anything you dislike about it? Personally, it’s a bit boring for me because as a
small town, there is not much shopping mall or any other means of entertainment. The
streets are not very crowded as well. However, I believe that it has been improving day by
day and becoming a potential hotspot due to the increasing number of annual visitors.
6. Are there any changes you would like to make in your hometown? I think it will
be more fun if my hometown is built with more commercial centers and entertainment
areas such as cinemas, water parks
6. Do you think you will continue living there for a long time? yes, of course because I
have lived here since I was born. it has many memories for me, and this place also has a
pleasant climate that makes me feel very comfortable not as hot as Saigon.
7. Is there another type of job you would like to do? Besides this, ever since I was a little girl,
I have dreamt of becoming a writer, like J.K Rowling, you know. I think literature is one of
the strongest media that can reflect all aspects of life. Journalism sounds great too, but I
have never been good at photography, so writing books is probably the only other job I
would want to do.
8. Do you have a lot of friends? To be completely honest with you, I have always been an
introvert. Therefore, I don't have so many friends. I would rather have one close friend than
many fair- weather friends
9. How often do you see your friends? I would say quite often. As we enjoy each other's
company very much, it is always a joy. We often talk about learning, family, or favorite
things
10. Is there anything special about your best friend? Of course. To me, she is the most kind-
hearted person I have ever met. She is a reliable shoulder to cry on, who never leaves me
when I hit the rockbottom. Sometimes I feel blessed to have such a friend beside me.
11. How long have you known your best friend? I met her about 10 years ago when we were in
grade 3. At the very beginning, we knew that we would click( hợp nhau). Throughout 10
years together, I cherish all the ups and downs that she has shared with me.
12. Is there anything in your hometown that is being polluted? Yes, and I would say pretty
much everything is polluted there. For starter, air quality has deteriorated at an alarming
rate. One literally cannot go out without wearing a medical face mask. The same goes for
the streets, as people tend to litter indiscriminately.
13. What causes pollution? It's hard to tell, but I would put the blame on the people who
disrespect their surroundings by constantly littering and ignoring how the environment is
degrading day by day. As pollution is linked to all types of social and economic issues, we
must all be aware of the destruction we're causing on our own.
14. Have you ever done anything to help protect the environment? Not in a direct way, to be
honest. Although I'm well aware of my responsibilities to the environment, it's really difficult
to contribute anything when you're just a student. So I would say, by not littering
indiscriminately on the streets and not using so many plastic bags, I have done a little

I think in the future English will become more useful because now English is more popular
in the world, people can talk to each other in English and especially if you know English you
will have a great job. Or you can find documents in English that are not available in
Vietnamese

3. What kinds of new foods have you tried recently? Recently I’ve been thinking about healthy eating,
so I’ve tried my best to find a snack that is both scrumptious and low-carb. And finally I found Sua Chua
Nep Cam, which is a mixture of brown glutinous rice and unsweetened yogurt. I have eaten this on a
daily basis, and now I’ve lost 2kg.

4. Do you like any food from other countries near Vietnam? Of course I do. I have a profound passion
for Chinese cuisine as I have spent some time in this country. I can spend hours drooling over Beijing
roasted duck and Guangzhou homemade noodles. Whenever I’ve got the munchies, I just daydream
about feasting on these incredible dishes

5. How much time do you spend listening to music every day? As I’ve mentioned I prefer working in
silence. To put it simply, no music is allowed during my working hours. After a long day at school, I
probably want to pump myself up for like half an hour with music to help me stay energetic so I can get
back to work late

6. What kinds of music do you like to listen to Korean pop is considered as a kind of music, then yeah,
that’s my favorite of all time. More than half of my playlists are Korean songs and I always keep myself
updated with the news related to Korean. I really like the band BlackPink. they are so talented and cute

Today I'm going to tell you about an item that I'd like to have in the future, which is an
oven. Because I enjoy cooking, an oven would be more suitable for baking cakes. I'd like
to buy a Blutone oven. It has a thirty-eight liters capacity and a two-thousand-pound-
per-square-inch pressure. Its exterior is made of insulated steel to ensure that it is safe
to use. It has a black case that is both stylish and stain-resistant. It comes with two
baking trays that can be used in a variety of ways I can make cakes or bakes more easily
instead of using brazie. When I went to my cousin's house to make cakes, I was liked
this oven. However, I am unable to buy it at this time due to its high cost. It costs around
two million VND. It will take some time for me to save enough money to purchase it
myself. However, being able to save my own money and buy items that I enjoy makes
me very happy. That all I want to tell you about that I want in the future. Thank you for
listening.

When we were students, we had to study a lot of subjects. But math is my favorite
subject. It's just that when I'm doing math I'm so excited to be able to solve
[Link] is the basic subject from the elementary level .but in higher grades math
becomes much more difficult. I struggled with it for a while before I could find the
motivation and excitement to study. Although I am not very good at math, when I
find the answer to an exercise, it makes me feel more excited and interested in
learning it. Mathematics is not only a subject in school but it is also widely applied in
life. just like when you go shopping you also have to resort to calculus. It helps with
calculations and gives accurate results, and we can't build anything without
calculating the metrics, or the quantity of materials . In addition, it is also an

effective assistant for some other subjects such as Physics, Chemistry. Although
math is a boring subject, it is very useful in everyday life. so that all i tell you about
my favorite subject.

Today I'm going to tell you about an unforgettable event of mine. This is a
camping trip I took when I was in ninth [Link] camping was held at
scholl with all 9 [Link] this camping , I learned how to set up camp and
play fun games like jumping rope, tug of war, and ringing the golden bell,
the questions in the game are taken from the subjects in class and some
folk quizzes. If you lose, you will get help once from the homeroom
teacher. And I learn how to take part in challenges to find the answer
when playing the big game. The experience of overcoming obstacles (óp
sto cồ)and the solidarity of my class are what I remember the most. We all
worked together to prepare food and drinks for the camping trip. We were
only allowed to camp for one day, not overnight , and there was no
campfire. This makes me feel a little sad. However, this camping
experience has left me with an unforgettable memory, as this is my first
time camping. I was happy to have been able to share such a happy
memory with you.

In school, there will be a lot of teachers. Each has different personalities and teaching
styles. But all because of the desire of students. For me, Ms. Thuy, my 9th-grade
homeroom teacher, is my favorite person. She is the most delightful and friendly
teacher I have ever met. She is a person who is attentive, caring, and patient. She
stood on the podium the last year I studied because she would retire after. She was
like a second mother, sharing with us not only knowledge but also lessons. life. She
always cares about each student and has words of encouragement to help them
overcome their boredom while studying. She is also a funny person, but in class, she
is strict. but it is also because of her strictness that we can be human. In the ninth
grade, we had a camping day before graduating from school she worked with us to
prepare every necessary item such as tents and food. Although I had graduated from
school, on November 20 every year we visit her. She asked about the current study
situation, we were able to confide in her our stories. Every time I visit her, she cooks
delicious food for me to eat. I love her and thank you so much for teaching me good
lessons.

19. 1 đám cưới

I will tell you about a wedding that I attended. It was my brother's wedding. The
wedding was held on May 9 last. It's been about half a year. My brother and sister-
in-law are both the same age and they have been together for 10 years since high
school. You know that in May, the covid situation started to get tense, so he also
invited very few guests to attend, mainly friends and colleagues. The party is held at
our house. Everyone eats together and sends good wishes to the bride and groom. I
want to talk about this wedding because it is simply a funny story about my brother
and there is another special thing that when the wedding takes place, I have to take
an exam to finish the semester, so I cannot attend the full party. I'm a bit sad about
this but fortunately, the ceremony was still held in success during the epidemic
situation.
20. Tức giận
I'm going to tell you a story I went through that made me feel angry. On November
19, my family had a surprise birthday party for my sister and I was the one who
ordered cakes for her. I chose a cake I liked and asked the staff to write my sister's
name on the cake. but when I received the cake the name on the cake was wrong.
This makes me quite uncomfortable. What annoys me more is that when I called the
shop to ask for it to be fixed, they not only didn't want to fix the cake but didn't even
apologize to me. I asked the hostess to resolve it but did not receive any reply. the
irresponsibility of the store made me quite frustrated and angry. although I have
bought this bakery a few times after this time it probably won't be in my choice
anymore.

I think English is an international language, so everyone should learn English in
order to have an advantage to access to the world. For me it is not just simply a tool
for communication, but it is also opens new doors to the vast ocean. It helps me get
close to many sources of information through the books and material that I have read
while learning.I started learning English in 3rd grade because it was a compulsory
subject in school. and every time I come to English class, I feel excited because I can
learn a lot of new knowledge. As far as I can see in the English books I study, there
are new topics about nature, culture, and people. It provides us with the knowledge
that is sometimes not available in Vietnamese. English has also become a popular
language nowadays, if you are good at English you will have a good chance of getting a
good job.I have a dream that one day I can travel to many parts of the world. and there is no
tool which is simple to get and useful to help me achieve that dream like English.

decorated with plenty of colorful balloons flashing and lights. I was surprised and
extremely happy. My parents, brother and relatives sang "happy birthday" to me.
