Adenuga Olayinka

The MRI report for Mrs. Adenuga indicates low back pain and immobility, revealing vertebral metastasis with a compression fracture of L3 and mild lumbar spondylosis. Imaging shows straightening of the lumbar spine, reduced marrow signals, and osteophytes, but no evidence of disc herniation or spinal canal stenosis. The report was conducted without contrast due to the patient's pregnancy.

MRI-LUMBOSACRAL SPINE (1.5 TESLA) REPORT

CLINICAL HISTORY: LOW BACK PAIN, IMMOBILITY IN PATIENT WITH BREAST CA(no contrast due to
pregnancy)

TECHNIQUE: MRI Multiplanar images, T1W, T2W, STIR, Mobiview T2W-TSE without Gadolinium
enhancement were acquired and reviewed.

COMPARISON: None

FINDINGS:

Straightening of the lumbar spine is noted. The vertebral bodies and their posterior elements demonstrated
focal areas of reduced marrow signals on T1 and increased marrow signals on T2/STIR sequences, indicative
of marrow infiltration. There is a fracture of the superior end plate of the L2 vertebra with reduced body
height. Osteophytes are on L1-L5. The discs and neural foramina are unremarkable. The vertebral body
heights, the IVdisc heights, and the posterior elements are essentially normal. No evidence of spinal canal
stenosis is seen.

LEVEL-BY-LEVEL ANALYSIS

L1–L2: Normal disc heights with no disc bulge. The neural foramina are within normal limits. No spinal canal
stenosis is seen. The ligamentum flavum and facetal joints appear normal.

L2–L3: Normal disc height with no disc bulge. The neural foramina are within normal limits. No spinal canal
stenosis is seen. The ligamentum flavum and facetal joints appear normal.

L3–L4: Normal disc height with no disc bulge. The neural foramina are within normal limits. No spinal canal
stenosis is seen. The ligamentum flavum and facetal joints appear normal.

L4–L5: Normal disc height with no disc bulge. The neural foramina are within normal limits. No spinal canal
stenosis is seen. The ligamentum flavum and facetal joints appear normal.

L5–S1: Normal disc height with no disc bulge. The neural foramina are within normal limits. No spinal canal
stenosis is seen. The ligamentum flavum and facetal joints appear normal. No paravertebral soft tissue
abnormality is seen. The conus medullaris and visualized spinal cord appear normal. The myelogram shows no
evidence of spinal canal narrowing.

IMPRESSION:

1 of 2
1. Vertebral metastasis with compression fracture of L3

. 2. Background lumbar spondylosis (mild). No disc herniation, neuroforamina narrowing, or spinal canal
stenosis.
