1.0 OBJECTIVE
The objective of this method statement to provides a general description of temporary works
erection (hoarding, fencing and site facilities).

2.0 SCOPE
The scope of this method statement applies for any project in Daengco’s contract.

3.0 REFERENCE
Project Specifications
Drawings

4.0 DEFINITION
Temporary works means all temporary works of every kind (other than contractor’s equipment)
required on site for the execution and completion of the permanent works and remedying any
defects.

5.0 RESPONSIBILITIES
5.1 Project Manager/Site Manager
5.2 Project Engineer
5.3 Site Supervisor

6.0 MATERIAL

8.0 PLANT, MACHINERY, EQUIPMENT & TOOLS

9.0 PREPARATORY WORK


9.1 Setting out the boundaries of ground in the proposed perimeter.
9.2 Determine the location of the temporary hoarding will be established with confirmation
from surveyor.

10.0 PROCEDURE OF WORK


10.1 Erection of Temporary Hoarding and fencing.
• After getting the point, mark the main pole as per alignment in the drawing.
• Preparation of the main pillars started by using hand digging. Pillars need to ensure
accurate position along the fence line and the base are sitting on an level surface.
• Erect the remaining pillars along the lines until the hoarding line is complete.
• Nogging need to be install to support metal deck panels.
• Metal deck panels will be installed with the frame hoarding.
• Entrance gate will be erected with support at both side (left and right) using welded
angels.
• These hoardings or fences will be maintained and adapted during the contract to
suit the phasing of the works.
10.2 Erection of Site Facilities
▪ Site office and welfare facilities will be established as identified on this plan,
utilizing the servicing points identified in the documents and shown on the
drawings.
▪ Temporary site accommodation and welfare is site office will comprise of the
Director office, Meeting room and Induction room, Canteen and other facilities and
will be erected on hard standings within the contractor’s working area.
▪ Adequate signage will be installed such that vehicle deliveries and access to the
site are clearly defined within the general site.
