A. Preparing the Laptop
1 Step 1: Confirm the laptop meets the requirements (Windows 10/11, at least 4 GB
RAM, Excel installed).
2 Step 2: Go to Control Panel → Region → Additional settings. Change Decimal symbol
to '.' and leave Digit grouping blank. Click Apply and OK. [Screenshot placeholder]
3 Step 3: Go to Control Panel → User Accounts → Change User Account Control
settings. Move the slider to 'Never notify' and restart the laptop. [Screenshot

4 Step 4: Go to Control Panel → Power Options → Change when the computer sleeps.
Set all options to 'Never' and save changes. [Screenshot placeholder]
5 Step 5: After installation, right-click the program folder → Properties → Security →
Edit. Give all users Full Control permissions.

B. Network & Cable Setup


1 Step 6: Open Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center →
Change adapter settings.
2 Step 7: Right-click the Ethernet adapter → Properties → Internet Protocol Version 4
(TCP/IPv4) → Properties.
3 Step 8: Select 'Use the following IP address'. Enter IP address: 192.168.0.1 and
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0. Click OK. [Screenshot placeholder]
4 Step 9: Connect the Ethernet cable directly from the laptop to the machine. Do not use
hubs or switches.
5 Step 10: If the laptop already uses wired LAN, install a second LAN adapter. Wi-Fi can
remain active.

C. Installing the Software


1 Step 11: Insert the USB stick provided by the manufacturer into the laptop.
2 Step 12: Open the USB stick folder and double-click 'setup.exe'. [Screenshot

3 Step 13: Follow the installation prompts and accept all license agreements.
4 Step 14: Allow the installer to complete. When finished, click Finish. Reboot if
prompted.
5 Step 15: Create a desktop shortcut by right-clicking the desktop → New → Shortcut.
Browse to MULTITEST.exe, click Next, name it, and click Finish.
6 Step 16: After installation, give Full Control permissions on the MULTITEST folder to
all users as in Step 5.

D. First Launch & Registration


1 Step 17: Switch on the lab machine.
2 Step 18: On the laptop, double-click the MULTITEST shortcut to start the software.

3 Step 19: On first launch, select the correct device type from the list provided.

4 Step 20: Enter the registration key if available, or use the trial period for 31 days.

5 Step 21: Confirm that the status at the bottom-left of the main window shows

E. Running a Test
1 Step 22: From the main panel, select the Test Module required (e.g., CBR, Marshall).

2 Step 23: In the Description section, enter test details such as specimen dimensions,
test speed, client information, and certificate number. [Screenshot placeholder]
3 Step 24: Mount the specimen securely in the machine according to the manual
instructions.
4 Step 25: In the Graph tab, select the Load channel (Channel 1) and the Displacement
channel (Crosshead) if applicable. [Screenshot placeholder]
5 Step 26: Click 'START TEST'. Monitor the live graph and data readings while the
machine runs. [Screenshot placeholder]
6 Step 27: When the test is finished, the software will stop automatically. You can also
stop manually if needed.
7 Step 28: Save the test results. If a certificate number was not entered earlier, you will
be prompted now.
8 Step 29: Remove the specimen from the machine.

F. Analyzing & Reporting


1 Step 30: To create a PDF report, click 'PDF Report' in the test module. Choose with or

2 Step 31: To convert to Excel, click 'Convert to Excel'. Excel must be installed and
closed before running this function. [Screenshot placeholder]
3 Step 32: To review past results, open 'Results' from the menu and select the desired
test.
4 Step 33: To compare multiple tests, use 'Test Comparison'. Add selected tests and
print the comparison graph if required. [Screenshot placeholder]
5 Step 34: For digital signatures, place a PNG signature file in the folder
'Documents/Controls/MULTITEST/Operator signatures' before creating the PDF.

G. Troubleshooting Quick Tips


1 Step 35: If the software shows DISCONNECTED, check that the cable is securely
connected and the IP address is correct.
2 Step 36: If some features are missing, make sure the correct device type was selected.

3 Step 37: If calibration mismatch occurs, note that calibrations are downloaded
automatically when connected.
4 Step 38: If PDF or Excel reports fail to save, ensure a save folder has been set and
that Excel is installed and not open.
