Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace
* Cover the area with newspaper or a cloth to avoid wax spills.
* Gather all tools and ingredients.
---
Step 2: Measure the Wax
* Calculate how much wax is needed for your container (fill it twice for estimation).
* Cut or scoop the wax accordingly.
---
Step 3: Set the Wick
* Attach the wick to the bottom center of the container using a wick sticker or hot glue.
* Use a wick holder to keep it centered and upright.
---
Step 4: Melt the Wax
* Use a **double boiler**: Place wax in a melting pot, then put that pot into a larger pot with
boiling water.
* Heat slowly and stir occasionally.
* **Ideal temperature**: Around 70–90°C (160–195°F) depending on wax type.
---
Step 5: Add Fragrance and Color (Optional)
* Once fully melted, **remove from heat**.
* Pour it into a cup
* Add **fragrance oil** (usually 10-12 drops ) and color dye.
* Stir gently but thoroughly to combine.
---
Step 6: Pour the Wax
* Let wax cool slightly (to 60–70°C) before pouring to reduce sinkholes or cracks.
* Carefully pour the wax into the container, holding the wick upright.
* Leave some space at the top (about 1 cm).
---
Step 7: Secure and Cool
* Ensure the wick is centered.
* Let the candle sit undisturbed for 4–6 hours (or overnight) to solidify completely.
---
Step 8: Trim the Wick
* Once hardened, **trim the wick** to about 1/4 inch (6–7 mm).
---
Step 9: Optional: Second Pour
* If the wax shrinks or forms a hole near the wick, melt a small amount of wax and top it off.
