STEP 01
You need to install
AUTODESK 3DSMAX software ( 2014 version and above)
and VRAY FOR 3DSMAX ( 2.0 version and above)
software on your computer
STEP 02
Download and install the plug-in MES

Double-click the plug-in to begin the installation step

Wait for and complete the automatic installation

After installation, a shortcut icon will appear on your desktop.
Double-click it to launch 3DSMAX

After launching, some Windows might


pop up. Click on the bottom right corner
to close them and ignore them

Waiting for 3DSMAX to fully start up may be a bit slow

Once launched, you can find the plug-in toolbar in the software,
First click the account and use your email to register an account

The OPTIMIZE button is used for model


subtraction and can be ignored by beginners

Open a 3DMAX model and start the transformation

Press CTRL+O to open the window and find the Important advice: it is recommended that the single MAX
MAX format model you want to convert model size for the transformation be less than 150MB,
otherwise the converted SKP file will be very resource intensive

After open, some Windows might pop up.


Click on the yes bottom to close them
and ignore them

Open a 3DMAX model and start the transformation

You can convert the entire MAX model to the SU model by Alternatively, you can click on an object,
clicking export all in the plugin click export the selected object, and export
it separately

The Enscape material parameters included in the export model

You can choose to export the matching Enscape material


parameters contained in the model to the SU model, as
well as adjust parameters such as the size of the map
output. If the exported model has broken faces, unmerge
the coplane option in this step

Wait for the model to finish exporting. You can check the progress
of exporting at the bottom. Please wait patiently

In general, we do not recommend exporting the entire scenario model (unless the model size is
small, or after surface subtraction-optimize, or if your hardware is good), which results in a very large
SU model, We recommend that you export individual models as needed, such as beds, furniture, etc

The output SU model is too large because of problems with


the SU itself
STEP 11
Open the converted model in SKETCHUP

Click the fill window to see the model

I got these models by selecting them individually in


3DSMAX with the left mouse button, then clicking CTRL to
select additional objects, and then clicking export select
objects
STEP 12
If you start Enscape, you'll notice that most materials already have
their own material parameters
