S&G 6128 Locks – General Tes ng Overview
Requirements: Standard 61KP keypad with 2 fresh ba eries installed.
Lock cable connected into a working keypad.
Keypad extension cable connected into a working keypad extension.
1. Select a lock for tes ng. Connect the lock cable from the keypad into the lock. Connect the keypad extension
cable from the keypad extension into the lock.

2. Enter the 4 3 * sequence on the keypad to verify the lock mechanics.
a. Verify that the lock gives a “high / low / high” beep pa ern, followed by 3 quick beeps.
b. 4 – 3 – * HIGH / LOW / HIGH – pause – < beep – beep – beep >

3. Enter the 4 2 * sequence on the keypad to verify the lock type.
a. Verify that the lock gives a “high / low / high” beep pa ern, followed by 1 quick beep.
b. 4 – 2 – * HIGH / LOW / HIGH – pause – < beep >

4. Enter the 7 9 * sequence on the keypad to verify the firmware version.
a. Verify that the lock gives a “high / low / high” beep pa ern, followed by 1 beep, a pause and then 5 or 6 quick
beeps.
b. 7 – 9 – * HIGH / LOW / HIGH – pause – < beep > - pause – < beep – beep – beep – beep – beep >
- or –
7–9–* HIGH / LOW / HIGH – pause – < beep > - pause – < beep – beep – beep – beep – beep – beep >

5. Enter the 5 7 * sequence on the keypad to verify the keypad extension.
a. 5 – 7 – * < beep – beep – beep – beep >
< all 3 keypad extension LEDs will flash >

6. Perform the calibra on process on each lock.
a. Press on the end of the bolt, so that the bolt is pushed as far as it can go into the case.
b. While holding the bolt in the “dead latch” posi on, enter the recalibra on command.
2 – 7 – * - 0 – 0 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 - # < beep – beep – beep – beep – beep >

c. A er the sequence has been completed, release the bolt.

7. For locks in “mul ple user” mode, verify that the lock opens as expected.
a. Enter 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – # on the keypad. Verify that the bolt retracts as expected. A er about 6
seconds, verify that the bolt extends as expected. Verify that the lock gives the extension beep.
b. Enter 0 – 2 – 0 – 2 – 0 – 2 – 0 – 2 – # on the keypad. Verify that the bolt retracts as expected. A er about 6
seconds, verify that the bolt extends as expected. Verify that the lock gives the extension beep.
c. Enter 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – # on the keypad. Verify that the bolt retracts as expected. NOTE: When
the bolt is retracted, physically block the bolt so that it cannot extend. Wait for at least 15 seconds and then
release the bolt. Verify that the bolt snaps out to the extended posi on, the motor runs for a short me and
that the lock gives the extension beep.

8. For locks in “dual user” mode, verify that the lock opens as expected.
a. Enter 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – # on the keypad and verify that the lock gives 4 beeps. Enter 0 – 2 – 0 – 2 –
0 – 2 – 0 – 2 – # . Verify that the bolt retracts as expected. A er about 6 seconds, verify that the bolt extends
as expected. Verify that the lock gives the extension beep.
b. Enter 0 – 2 – 0 – 2 – 0 – 2 – 0 – 2 – # on the keypad and verify that the lock gives 4 beeps. Enter 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 –
1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – # . Verify that the bolt retracts as expected. A er about 6 seconds, verify that the bolt extends
as expected. Verify that the lock gives the extension beep.
c. Enter 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – 1 – 0 – # on the keypad and verify that the lock gives 4 beeps. Enter 0 – 2 – 0 – 2 –
0 – 2 – 0 – 2 – # . Verify that the bolt retracts as expected. NOTE: When the bolt is retracted, physically

9. Carefully disconnect the keypad cable and keypad extension cable from the lock.

10. Repeat the above tes ng on all selected locks.
