Asotin County Jail, Washington

The Asotin County Sherriff Office manages Asotin County Jail. The facility mainly houses pre-
trial detainees and those waiting for their sentences. The facility holds roughly 45 inmates, with a
maximum capacity of around 58 in cases of emergency. It is managed n a day to day basis by a
staff of 1 commander, 3 sergeants, 10 officers, and transport personnel.

The Washington department of corrections also uses the Asotin facility for housing probation
violators and offers detention facilities for both Asotin and Clarkston's cities.

Apart from incarceration, the facility also provides several support programs, including religious
programs, educational programs, and volunteer services.

Inmate Search

If you suspect that a friend or loved one is held at the Asotin facility, you have a couple of
options for searching for the inmate. One of these ways is through logging into the facility's
online database to perform a search. You will need a couple of details, including the inmate's
names, age, and race.

You can also log in to the statewide inmate database and search for the inmate.

On the other hand, if you do not have any internet access, you have the option of calling the
facility directly at 509-758-1668 and enquiring about the inmate from prison officials.

Inmates are allowed correspondence at the facility. Apart from the mail, inmates can also receive
postcards and packages.

Sending Money

Asotin facility allows inmates to have commissary accounts to access cash from to buy goods
from the prison kiosk.

There are several ways for friends and loved ones to get money into an inmate's commissary,
including money order, checks, or gong, and personally depositing the money at the facility.

Phone Calls

Inmates have phone liberties between 7 am and 7:30 pm. The facility allows for collect calls,
restricting each phone call to a maximum of 30 minutes during normal hours and 10 minutes
during rush hours.

Visitation

Before visiting the facility, ensure you are on the visitor's list. You can call the facility and
confirm this first, while also enquiring about the rules associated with visitations.

Some of the rules that need to be adhered to include a valid ID, the visitor should not be a
previous felon, and any underage person has to come with a legal guardian.
