SHORT FILM: PART 1 - "THE PARTS YOU DON’T SEE"

🎤 CLEAN VOICE-OVER SCRIPT BY SCENE

SCENE 1 – WAKING UP IN SILENCE

Lately... I’ve felt so alone. Not the kind of alone where no one’s around... But the kind where
everyone is—and I still feel invisible.

SCENE 2 – EMPTY MESSAGES

I check my phone hoping someone thought of me. But nothing. Just empty notifications and
old messages I scroll through like ghosts. Why do I even bother?

SCENE 3 – SMILE IN PASSING

I see people I know. They greet me. I smile back, like everything's fine. But the second they
look away, the mask falls off again.

SCENE 4 – FAKE FRIENDS

The same people who said they had my back? Gone. When I needed them the most. Left me
hanging. Cold. Quiet.

SCENE 5 – CRYING IN BED

I cry into my pillow and pray no one hears it. It’s like I’m drowning in a sea of silence. And no
one even notices I’m missing.

SCENE 6 – LOST LOVE

She's smiling in someone else’s arms now. And here I am... still holding the pieces. Wondering
if she ever really meant any of it.

SCENE 7 – THE NOTEBOOK

I try to write how I feel... but every word feels fake. Nothing comes out right. I rip the page.
Again. Again. Again.

SCENE 8 – VIDEO CALL

My phone lights up. I wipe my tears. Put on my best fake smile. Can’t let them see what’s
really going on.

1
SCENE 9 – THE ROPE

Sometimes I stare at the rope and wonder... would it just be easier? Would they even care if I
was gone?

SCENE 10 – THE UPLOAD

I made a video. Scheduled it for 10 PM. Just in case tomorrow never comes.

SCENE 11 – FLASHBACKS

I tried praying. Pills. Talking. Nothing worked. They all said it gets better. When?

SCENE 12 – BACK TO THE ROPE

I hold it in my hands again. Just me... and the silence.

SCENE 13 – BLACKOUT

You think you know me... But there are parts of me you’ve never seen.

SCENE 14 – FINAL MESSAGE (Text on screen)

"Mental health is real. Check on your friends. Check on your family. You are not alone."

🎝 CAMERA ANGLES & EMOTIONAL SHOT TIPS

• Use close-ups to show emotion (eyes, trembling hands, lip quivers).

• Use over-the-shoulder or POV shots for isolation.
• Use natural lighting through windows for a soft, lonely tone.
• Static shots = emotional stillness.
• Handheld camera = mental chaos/flashbacks.
• Backlighting can show silhouette/feeling of being lost.
• Use mirror shots for duality: the smile vs. the sadness.

✂️ CAPCUT EDITING & PACING TIPS

• Use cinematic filters like "Teal & Orange," "Moody," or "Dark Film."
• Mute clip audio during voice-over parts.
• Add slow motion to emotional flashbacks or walking scenes.
• Use fade transitions between flashbacks and present-day.
• Add soft background piano under the voice-over (YouTube copyright-free).
• Keep pacing slow. Let shots breathe. Don’t rush transitions.
• Color grade for mood: blue/grays for sadness, warm tones for fake happiness.
