Building Automation and Control Insights

1) Building automation and control systems centrally manage, monitor, and optimize building technology using computer-based systems installed in large buildings to control complex mechanical and electrical equipment. 2) Modern systems also influence measuring and control technology and integrating building services at a higher automation level is key to meeting energy efficiency requirements. 3) Common communication protocols adopted in the UK HVAC market include BACnet, LONworks, KNX, and Modbus, each having different requirements for different levels and applications in the building management hierarchy.
