1. Double click the downloaded Visual studio installer file on your laptop.
2. Click on Continue.

3. Scroll down to “Other Toolsets” and select “Data storage and processing” and click
“Install”.
4. Click “OK”.

5. Double click on the downloaded “Analysis Services installer” file on your laptop.
6. Click on “End Tasks” when it prompts.

7. Click on “Close”.
8. Double click on the downloaded “Integration Services installer” file on your laptop.

9. Click on “Install” and follow the onscreen instructions.
10. Launch Visual Studio application.

11. Click on “Skip and add accounts later”.
12. Click on “Continue without code”.

13. Click on “File New Project”.
14. To access Analysis Services, select “Analysis Services Multidimensional Project” and
click “next”.

15. Click on “view” menu and select “Server Explorer”.
16. Enter Sever name: “VDI-SWR”, Select Authentication: “SQL Server Authentication”,
Enter Username & Password, Select Encrypt: “Optional false”, Check “Trust Server
Certificate”, Select Database: “AdventureWorksDW2019”, & Click “OK”.

17. To access Integration Services, repeat step No.13 & Select “Integration Services Project”
and click “next”.
18. Enter Project Name & Check “Place solution and project in the same directory” & Click
“Create”.

19. Click on “Data Flow”, select “OLE DB Source” and double click “OLE DB Source”

20. Click on “New”.

21. Enter Server name: “VDI-SWR”, select Authentication: “SQL Server Authentication”
Enter username & password, select database & click “OK”.
22. Click “OK”.
