Learning Children will recognize uppercase /H/ and lowercase /h/. They
Objectives will associate the sound with familiar words like honey, happy,
hat, hazelnut, and hay. Children will develop fine motor skills
and creativity through a colouring activity related to the /Hh/
sound.

Exploration Time Duration: 15 minutes
Concept 1. Use the “1, 2, 3” technique.
explanatio 2. Show the flashcard for letter /Hh/ and say the name of the
n letter and let children repeat it three times using MTYT.
3. The teacher says like every letter has its name, every
letter has its own sound also (teacher to be dramatic
while explaining this).
4. Teacher to then say the sound of the letter taught and let
children repeat it using MTYT for three times.
Show the picture cards (honey, happy, hat, hazelnut, hay)
and say the word clearly, emphasizing the /Hh/ sound: “H-
h-honey,” “H-h-happy,” “H-h-hat,” “H-h-hazelnut,” “H-h-
hay.”
Encourage children to repeat the words together: "H-h-
honey," "H-h-happy," "H-h-hat," "H-h-hazelnut," "H-h-
hay."
5. Sky Writing: Have the children trace the letter /Hh/ in
the air with their fingers while saying the sound aloud: “H
says /Hh/.” (Start with sky writing for capital H and then
small h).
Learning by doing: 15 minutes

Activity/Game Desk Writing: Ask children to trace the letter /Hh/ on their
desks with their fingers while saying / Hh/ (Teacher to
make sure that she first takes desk writing for capital H
and then small h).
Colouring Activity:
Distribute the colouring sheet featuring "Honey,
Happy, Hat, Hazelnut, Hay" to each child.
Instruct children to color the images with the
provided crayons. Encourage them to use colors
like yellow for honey, brown for hazelnut, green for
hay, etc.
Encourage them to say "H for Honey" aloud while
coloring each image.
Closure (5 Ask children to hold up their colored pictures and say: “H
minutes) says /Hh/!”
End with a cheerful chant: “H says /Hh/ every time!”
