Scene 1 – Planning (Before the Call)

Kier:

Hey Dann, the weekend’s coming up. Where should we go this time?

Dann:

Let’s go to Tagaytay! The view of Taal Lake there is amazing.

Kier:

That’s a great idea. What kind of room do you want?

Dann:

If possible, let’s get a Premiere Room. It’ll be more relaxing, and we can
enjoy the lake view.

Kier:

Alright, Premiere it is. I’ll call the hotel now.

Scene 2 – Reservation Call

Sam:

[Phone ringing sound]

Good morning, Skyline View Hotel Tagaytay, Samantha speaking. How can I
help you?

Kier:

Yes, I’d like to make a reservation please.

Sam:

Before I proceed with the reservation process, may I know who is on the line?

Kier:

I am Kier Robin Villena.

Sam:

Could you kindly spell your first name for me, please?

Kier:

Sure, K-I-E-R. [Key tapping sound as receptionist types]

Sam:

Thank you for that information, Mr. Villena. May I know which dates you
would like to make your reservation?

Kier:

I’m planning to visit today, April 25, until April 27. Do you have any
vacancies?

Sam:
Yes, we do have several rooms available for those dates. \[Keyboard typing
sound] We offer Standard, Deluxe, and Family Rooms. May I know which type
of room you prefer?

Kier (to Dann, whispering):

Dann, they don’t have Premiere Rooms here — just Standard, Deluxe, and
Family.

Dann:

Ah, that’s too bad. If that’s the case, let’s just go for the Deluxe. It’s still a
good choice.

Kier (to Sam):

We’ll take the Deluxe Room then.

Sam:

Excellent choice, Mr. Villena. Thank you. May I confirm, do you prefer
smoking or non-smoking?

Kier:

Definitely non-smoking.

Sam:

Non-smoking, noted. For the Deluxe Room, would you prefer a queen-size
bed, a king-size bed, or two single beds?

Kier (to Dann):

Which one, Dann?

Dann:

Queen-size should be fine.

Kier (to Sam):

Queen-size bed, please.

Sam:

Perfect. We also have Deluxe Rooms with a view of Taal Lake here in
Tagaytay. Would you like me to arrange a lake view for your room?

Kier (to Dann):

They have a Taal Lake view option!

Dann:

Yes, let’s get that! That’s exactly why we’re going.

Kier (to Sam):

Yes, we’d love to have a lake view.

Sam:

Excellent choice. Before we proceed with the payment, I’d like to inform you
about some of our services. \[Paper rustling sound] All Deluxe Rooms include
complimentary breakfast, free access to the swimming pool and fitness
center, and high-speed Wi-Fi. We also offer airport pick-up service upon
request. Would you like me to arrange an airport transfer for you?

Kier:

No, thank you. That won’t be necessary.

Sam:

Noted. Now, may I ask how you would like to settle your bill, Mr. Villena? We
accept payments either by credit card as a guarantee or upon arrival.

Kier:

I’ll use a credit card.

Sam:

Thank you. May I have your credit card details, please? [Key tapping sound]

Kier:

It’s a Visa. The number is 9876-5432-1, and the name on the card is Kier
Robin Villena.

Sam:

Thank you very much, Mr. Villena. May I also have the names of the guests
who will be staying?

Kier:

Kier Robin Villena and Mr. Dann Balmes

Sam:

Noted. May I have your contact number, please?

Kier:

It’s 0929-106-8126. [Key tapping sound]

Sam:

Let me repeat that — 0929-106-8126, correct?

Kier:

Yes, that’s correct.

Sam:

Perfect. Keyboard tapping sound] Mr. Villena, your reservation is now

confirmed for a Deluxe non-smoking room with a queen-size bed and a Taal
Lake view, from April 25 to April 27, under the names of Mr. Kier Robin
Villena and Mr. Dann Balmes. Your credit card has been recorded only as a
guarantee, and payment will be settled upon your stay.

Just a reminder, check-in starts at 2:00 p.m., and we follow a 6:00 p.m.
policy.

Kier (to Dann):

Alright, Dann, everything’s set! Deluxe with Taal Lake view.

Dann:

Perfect! This is going to be an amazing trip.

Sam:

My pleasure. Is there anything else I can assist you with, Mr. Villena?

Kier:

No, thank you. That would be all.

Sam:

Thank you for calling, Mr. Villena. We look forward to welcoming you at
Skyline View Hotel Tagaytay. [Phone hang-up click]

Scene 3 – After the Call

Kier:

Well, Dann, looks like the Premiere Room was fully booked.

Dann:

Yeah, but that’s fine. At least we got the Deluxe with a Taal Lake view. That’s
the main thing I wanted anyway.

Kier:

True. And we’ve got breakfast, Wi-Fi, and the pool too. Not bad at all.

Dann:

Exactly. This weekend’s going to be unforgettable.

Kier:

Can’t wait. Tagaytay, here we come!
